Chapter 253: The Arrogant White Star Sage 3
With terrifying speed, 'Elton' appeared beside two demons as four lightning spears of ki blasted through their bodies without mercy. Before anyone could react, he leapt off his Blue Heavenly Star Destroyer and planted his foot into a demonic cultivator's abdomen, sending the man flying as he coughed blood on the verge of fainting.
A beam of purple light pierced toward 'Elton,' who sneered as he used the bare minimum movement to dodge it. His Blue Heavenly Star Destroyer moved as if controlled by another person entirely, shooting forward and piercing toward a demonic cultivator charging at 'Elton' with a ki-covered fist. The moment the demon saw the sword rushing at him, he panicked and attempted to defend, but the sword's sharpness cut through his arm and torso without effort.
"Graaah!!!" the demon screamed as blood poured from his wounds.
'Elton' was already charging toward the demon who had fired the purple beam, a disdainful smile on his face. The attacker was a Middle Stage Mortal Lord demon. He conjured intense magic, and twenty dark orbs materialized around him before unleashing a rapid barrage of explosive dark bullets.
–Flames of Soloman: Forcefield–
As if he had long since prepared the spell within his spirit, 'Elton' instantly conjured a forcefield of white flames. It blazed into existence, blocking and deflecting the destructive volley as the bullets detonated around the area.
Three Early Stage Mortal Lords seized this moment, coordinating powerful attacks from different directions. One of them quickly learned she had misjudged the situation. The Blue Heavenly Star Destroyer streaked toward her, coated in white lightning, causing her heart to jolt in terror. She threw up a ki shield with all the power she could muster, but the sword smashed through it instantly, tearing a deep gash into her body and embedding white lightning into the wound. The strike sent her flying into the second Mortal Lord demon, who barely defended in time as he was forced back seven steps.
The third Early Stage Mortal Lord demon launched a spear-ki projection toward 'Elton' with fierce momentum. 'Elton' merely glanced at it. Two fingers of his left hand extended like blades, shrouded in thick, sharp white lightning mixed with sword ki.
–Heaven Piercing Radiance Fang–
His sword-fingers met the spear-ki projection, and with an explosive flash the spear ki shattered. A thunderclap echoed as a beam of white lightning shot forward, piercing straight through the demon's body and blasting him into the distance.
The two remaining Middle Stage Mortal Lords who had not acted yet finally stepped forward, grimacing with anger.
"Kill!!!" one roared, and the Middle Stage Mortal Lord who had previously fired the bullet barrage joined in once again with a grim expression.
"Hahahaha!!! What is this?! Don't tell me you fools cannot handle this Sage. How useless." 'Elton' mocked as he leapt into the air and the Blue Heavenly Star Destroyer appeared beneath his feet.
He darted forward atop the sword, both hands glowing with a fierce blue and white burning light as the image of a lotus appeared behind him.
–Thunder Lotus Radiance Dance–
A storm of razor-sharp lotus petals washed across the battlefield, deflecting powerful attacks while slicing open every weakness in the demons' defenses.
In only a short span of time, many weaker demons and demonic cultivators had fallen. 'Elton's arrogant trash talk only enraged the demons further, but they also understood that despite his overwhelming abilities, he was not truly invincible.
An explosive attack finally managed to strike 'Elton,' causing him to stumble atop his floating sword. Even so, he continued to smile arrogantly as his gaze landed on the female Early Stage Mortal Lord he had previously wounded. The light in his eyes shifted faintly as his eighth meridian trembled. He issued a command.
"Kill him."
"Hah?! Get the hell out of here!" a demon roared, as they all resumed the attack.
But something completely unexpected happened.
The female Early Stage Mortal Lord suddenly jolted as white electrical currents ignited from her earlier wound. Her eyes clouded over. Though she appeared to be charging toward 'Elton' with the others, she abruptly raised her rapier and unleashed a storm of demonic ki. She stabbed toward the back of another Early Stage Mortal Lord demon.
Caught completely off guard, his armor barely absorbed part of the blow before the rapier pierced through his body.
Blood poured from his wounds as he stared at her in disbelief. "T-Taurawnack… W-What are you doing?!"
She gave no answer. Instead, she poured more ki into her rapier, ripping through his insides and rapidly worsening his injuries. All nearby demons froze in shock, unable to grasp what was happening.
In that same moment, Elton appeared like lightning before a Middle Stage Mortal Lord demon. With the Blue Heavenly Star Destroyer in hand, he smiled arrogantly. His aura warped the air around him as he entered a sword stance. The demon, a seasoned veteran, snapped his attention back in time for Elton's strike.
–Storm Breaker Starfall Slash–
White lightning mixed with sword ki erupted from Elton's body, the power rising toward the heavens before crashing down like a divine bolt as he swung in a forceful overhead cleave.
The demon's black axe erupted with magic power as black demonic energy surged outward to meet Elton's attack.
A mighty shockwave detonated as destructive winds tore across the battlefield. The demon stumbled back, coughing violently as blood dripped from several points on his body. His comrades, knocked aside by the impact, scrambled to regain composure.
But before they could react, the demon's eyes widened. His enemy was no longer in front of him.
"Watch out!!!" he roared.
By the time the others looked, it was already too late.
–Heavenveil Shatter Spiral–
A vast cyclone of lightning-coated sword lights erupted in the area, moving too fast for most to perceive. Demons, demonic cultivators, and even enemy Natives who had aided them were torn apart in droves. It was a slaughter.
Defending against the rapid torrent was nearly impossible, but thankfully for the survivors, it ended just as quickly as it began. Rivers of blood coated the ground as the dead and dying lay scattered across the ruined terrain. At the cyclone's center stood 'Elton,' smiling arrogantly.
At that moment, several reinforcements from the Aka Boshi No Tengan clan, the Soloman clan, the Bright Brilliant Blade Sect, and others appeared on the horizon, moments away from reaching the battlefield.
"Retreat now!" one of the Middle Stage Mortal Lord demons commanded with despair. Injured or not, the demons fled at full speed, abandoning those too wounded to move.
'Elton' sneered as his gaze landed on the injured female Early Stage Mortal Lord demon, Taurawnack. She snapped back to consciousness, paled in terror, and attempted to flee when she saw his gaze, but white static wrapped around her, freezing her movements. 'Elton' appeared behind her and pressed his hand to her back.
"N-No… please!" she begged, trembling.
A surge of lightning coursed through her body, electrocuting her into unconsciousness.
Elton picked her up, and with a flash of lightning atop his Blue Heavenly Star Destroyer, he vanished.
In the distance, reinforcements saw only the end of the exchange. All they witnessed was Elton incapacitating a demon and carrying her off as a prisoner. Shayleaf, Christy, and the others watched from afar, completely speechless.
Christian shot forward from her flying aircraft, worry and fury written across her face as she reached Christy's group.
"Are you all alright?! You are not too badly hurt, are you?! Those damned demons!" she demanded.
"We are fine, Grandmama. Thankfully things turned out alright in the end." Christy replied with an uncomfortable expression, clearly lost in her thoughts.
"Tell me everything. But first, we must hunt that trash down!!" Christian declared as a terrifying killing intent erupted from her.
