The golden armor is divided into ten parts: helmet, breastplate, battle skirt, leg armor, greaves, shoulder pads, armguards, and gauntlets. It is entirely made of kryptonite, infused with burning gold and arcanites, and reinforced with titan steel, giving it super strong Holy Light and fire conduction capabilities.
Gale inscribed a large number of titan runes on the armor, enhancing its defensive capabilities and giving it a soul-binding function; as long as the armor is not destroyed, the Eternal Knight within will not be annihilated. To destroy the armor, one would need an artifact of the pillars of creation level, otherwise, only the Old Gods, Titan Guardians, and Guardian Dragons possess such power.
On the helmet and breastplate components, Gale used a unique design.
For the Golden Zodiac, the decoration on each helmet differs according to its name, such as the Phoenix Seat's decoration being a phoenix. The breastplate has golden wings on the back, allowing the Eternal Knights to fight in the air. Ordinary Eternal Knights have only one pair of wings, mid-level officers have two pairs, and commanders like Farodis have three pairs.
Crafting the armor is very complex, requiring the use of a special magical furnace to smelt burning gold, and then using Mjolnir for thunder forging. Gale increased the temperature of the magical furnace through the Reality Gem to smelt the burning gold, and making a few sets was not a problem. However, if hundreds or thousands of sets were to be made, the magical furnace would have to be redesigned.
Gale thought of using the sun's heat to create a magical furnace, and he had always wanted to design a furnace, so this solved two problems at once.
He first had Farodis and Hoon select Eternal Knights to be their subordinates. Hoon's team mainly consists of hunters using spears. Hothman's team mainly consists of paladins using swords. Igrul's team mainly consists of warriors using battleaxes. Sorey's team mainly consists of shamans using gauntlets. Belle's team mainly consists of druids using staves. Heimdall's team also mainly consists of warriors using sword and shield.
Then he teleported the Sun Temple near the sun, and in the center of the Sun Temple, he created a huge magical furnace.
Gale named it the sun furnace. The sun furnace is entirely cast from true gold. True gold is an upgraded version of adamantine, possessing super strong durability. The true gold casting of the furnace can withstand the internal molten flames, no matter how high the temperature. He inscribed a large number of titan runes both inside and outside the furnace; inside, he inscribed fire runes to increase furnace temperature, heat-return runes to prevent heat leakage, and isolation runes to protect the furnace walls; outside, he inscribed frost runes to lower the surrounding temperature, and strengthening runes to enhance the furnace's strength…
After the furnace was completed, Gale created a magic array to guide the sun's flames into the furnace. The furnace began to operate, and soon it melted the burning gold, with much greater efficiency than the Reality Gem.
Gale put a large amount of kryptonite into the furnace, then added a certain amount of arcanites, casting spells to fuse the three metals into an alloy at a specific ratio, and then guided it into the armor molds. Using Mjolnir to draw lightning, he thunder-forged the armor, while simultaneously using the Reality Gem to infuse titan steel into the armor, increasing its hardness.
After placing the armor in the cooling chamber, waiting for it to solidify, the molds were removed, and the armor was polished and inscribed with runes. Each part of the armor was inscribed with corresponding runes, especially the wings, where every feather had to be inscribed with runes, a workload that was extraordinarily immense. Even with Gale's astonishing micro-control, it would take him ten days to complete one set of armor.
This batch of twenty sets of armor would require Gale over three hundred days. Plus, Gale also needed to handle other matters, so it would basically take a year.
The sun furnace also needed to be used to discover and solve problems, to make it achieve the desired results, which also took a lot of time. Another hundred years passed in a flash, and Gale had only crafted a thousand sets of armor.
However, the sun furnace had approached perfection. It could not only absorb solar energy but also energy from the void as fuel.
The space inside the furnace had also undergone significant changes, capable of accumulating a large amount of energy to provide for the consumption of the Reality Gem and the space gem. This was Gale's original intention in creating the sun furnace; crafting the golden armor was merely a secondary function.
Yet, even this secondary function was still very remarkable; the army assembled from these thousand sets of golden armor would be invincible in Azeroth.
Gale teleported the Sun Temple back to the Hall of Valor and distributed the armor to the seven teams according to their constellations.
Hoon led the Taurus, and their helmets had bull horns. Igrul commanded the Giant Seat, and their helmets were relatively bulky to accommodate their special body type. Hothman commanded the Pegasus, with two feathers decorating the sides of their helmets. Belle commanded the Golden Crow Seat, commonly called the Raven Seat in Azeroth, but Gale changed the name, and the helmet decoration featured raven wings. Sorey commanded the Brown Bear Seat, and his helmet was a bear head. Heimdall commanded the Draco, and the helmet decoration featured dragons.
Except for the Giant Seat, which had one hundred sets of golden armor, the other six constellations each had one hundred and fifty sets.
The number of Drogbar among the Eternal Knights was very small because they lived underground for many years and rarely fought with others. Moreover, their main food was mushrooms, and they did not need to hunt like the Tauren, so their fighting spirit was relatively low.
Furthermore, warriors were the most basic profession, and their survival ability was too weak. Any warrior with a bit of skill would try to change to another profession. And Igrul's prestige was far too low compared to the other commanders.
The legends of Hoon and Hothman were quite spectacular; many warriors would rather choose them than Igrul. Only the Drogbar would worship this King of the Underdark and join his team. Other teams were carefully selected, with one hundred and fifty people chosen to wear the golden armor.
Igrul's side couldn't even gather one hundred people.
After the Eternal Knights put on their golden armor, they immediately felt a powerful force pouring into their bodies. The Sun God Power transformed their bodies, binding their souls to the golden armor. They became one with the golden armor, their souls were cleansed again, becoming even more sacred, and a faint flame ignited within them.
The Eternal Knights looked at them with envy, also wanting to wear the golden armor.
Gale said, "Every hundred years from now on, the Sun Temple will select a batch of Sun Guardians. You only need to work hard to improve your strength, and one day you will be chosen."
Upon hearing this, hope rose in the hearts of the Eternal Knights. They all resolved to train diligently and strive to become Sun Guardians in the next selection.
However, Gale then turned and instructed Al, "Assign those Eternal Knights with insufficient aptitude to the Eternal Knight Order. Gradually replace the original Eternal Knights and bring them back to join the Sun Temple."
The former Eternal Knights were all Vrykul warriors; whether they were intelligent or not was unknown, but their strength was absolutely beyond question.
