Golden light shimmered outward as a vision slammed into his consciousness.
He found himself staring at two figures standing in a realm of pure white mist.
One of them was unmistakable, as he had seen him before in another vision.
Ji Gong stood there with his wine gourd and a lazy smile on his face.
Beside him stood another Buddhist monk, this one dressed in pristine golden robes, his shaved head gleaming under the light.
"The remains of the Original Buddha should be here," Ji Gong said casually, taking a swig from his gourd.
The golden-robed monk turned to him with a frown.
"Ji Gong, why did you make me come here?" he asked, visible frustration crossing his features. "I was in the middle of my meditation."
Ji Gong laughed at his words, the sound echoing strangely through the misty realm.
"That's for you to find out, old friend." He grinned and took another drink. "Go on now, I will be on my way."
"May the Buddha guide you."
