Grey sensed the Asura's mind stirring within the urn. It pushed hard against the gold seal that had trapped it for countless eras.
Lyris stepped closer to him with a pale face.
"What should we do, Elder?" she asked with urgency in her voice.
Grey kept his eyes fixed on the urn.
"Looks like we have no other option than to fight."
Just then, the red corruption burst outward.
Dark tendrils of energy shot toward Lyris before Grey could react. The red mist wrapped around her body and seeped straight into her mind.
Her violet eyes glazed over instantly, and she collapsed to her knees.
"Lyris!" Grey reached for her, but she was already gone. She had fallen into the same illusion that trapped the others.
"How annoying." Grey clicked his tongue.
If not for the Nexus Energy protecting him, he too would have been corrupted.
The urn shook violently as a massive presence erupted from within.
