Alicia continues, "Aurenvale is infamous for their long-winded bureaucratic crap. They only care about maintaining the Royal Family's face. They don't give a damn about their own people." Her words come out sharper with every sentence.
The room falls silent.
Liam stares at her without blinking, then says slowly, "Are you saying the Royal Family deliberately delayed announcing this? Just because they were afraid of what the rest of the world would think of them?" His voice climbs higher with every word.
"Yeah. That's exactly what I'm saying." Alicia nods firmly.
Liam gets to his feet abruptly. "I'm going there. I'm going to give them a piece of my mind."
"Whoa!" Maeve jumps up to stop him. "Easy, Liam. Easy."
She guides him back down onto the sofa, then looks back and forth between him and Alicia. "Would you two care to share with the rest of the class?"
