Facing the Sea Spear Douluo's Ninth Spirit Skill, which carried the full power of the vast ocean, Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun felt the cold touch of death. Even though they had forced their power to rise by consuming spirits, they still shook with terror. The deep blue dark tide spread silently through the air. It looked like it could wash away all life in the world. At the edge of this dark water, their Martial Soul True Bodies were melting fast, just like ice and snow under a hot sun. The two avatars let out loud, painful screams as they began to break apart.
Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun desperately pushed all the evil Rakshasa power in their bodies to the outside. They tried to build a bright shield and a barrier of hot flames to protect themselves. But the silent, destructive power of the sea kept eating away at their defenses, layer by layer. They were running out of strength and were about to be swallowed up completely by the dark blue tide.
On the other side of the battle, Tang San was locked in a fierce fight with Sea Horse Douluo Oya. Tang San had to use most of his mind to dodge and counter Oya's smooth, high-level water attacks. Even so, he kept a small part of his attention on the rest of the battlefield. He noticed the sudden rise and quick fall of Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun's energies. Then, he felt the terrifying power of the Sea Spear Douluo's Ninth Spirit Skill. The force was so strong it made his own soul shake, ringing like a loud alarm bell inside his head.
It's bad, Tang San thought. His heart sank instantly. A look of fierce, dark determination showed in his purple-black eyes. He quickly understood the danger of the situation. If Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun were defeated or killed by that Ninth Spirit Skill, the Sea Spear Douluo would be free.
Then, the Sea Spear Douluo would join forces with the tricky Sea Horse Douluo right in front of him. If both Titled Douluo attacked him together, Tang San knew he would have no chance to live, no matter how many secret tricks he had. He had to break this dangerous trap right away. He needed to save Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun first. If he could manage it, he wanted to hurt or kill one of the Titled Douluo to give his team a small chance to win. There was no time to wait or think.
You trash from Sea God Island, you forced me to do this, Tang San shouted coldly.
During a quick break between his spirit skills clashing with Sea Horse Douluo, Tang San jumped back with great force. He moved far away to create some space. Then, he stared straight at Sea Horse Douluo. A purple-black evil light flashed wildly in his eyes, and a scary, destructive energy exploded out of his body.
He was going to use Ring Explosion.
This was not the famous Ring Explosion technique of the Clear Sky Hammer. Right now, he was using it on his first martial soul, the Blue Silver Emperor, which was darkened by evil power. To get a massive amount of power in a single second, Tang San chose a dangerous path. This method would hurt his own body deeply just to destroy the enemy, and it could even ruin his future growth as a spirit master.
A series of loud explosions shook the area. Eight dull booms sounded out from the sky, echoing deep within the soul. Beneath Tang San's feet, his eight spirit rings appeared. They were covered in purple-black evil energy. Suddenly, they all flashed with a blinding, wicked light and exploded at the same time. The spirit rings did not just vanish into thin air. Instead, they burned completely, turning all their stored energy into a wild force that rushed back into Tang San's body. This was much faster, more violent, and far more dangerous than the spirit-devouring method that Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun had used.
Tang San let out a painful, angry roar. His body grew larger as the sudden, wild energy flooded his veins. His skin cracked open, and dark purple blood started to leak out. However, his power level rose incredibly fast, shooting up like a rocket. The heavy energy caused the space around him to bend and twist, creating waves of purple-black light in the air. The power from the Ring Explosion was short and unstable, but it was enough to push his strength past his normal limits to an amazing level.
With this sudden burst of power, Tang San moved. He was so fast that he left a long purple-black shadow behind him. He easily broke away from Sea Horse Douluo's water traps and domain control. In an instant, he crossed hundreds of meters and arrived at the edge of the Sea Spear Douluo's Ninth Spirit Skill. He stood right in front of the spot where Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun were about to be washed away.
He did not care about the angry shouts and pursuit of Sea Horse Douluo behind him. His eyes were fixed only on the giant Sea God Spear statue in front of him, which was releasing the cold tide of death. He looked right at the center of the statue where the Sea Spear Douluo stood. The Titled Douluo was using all his energy to keep the Ninth Spirit Skill going, which meant his personal defense was weak right now.
Clear Sky Hammer, Tang San roared with rage.
The muscles on his left arm grew large, and his veins stood out clearly. The purple-black evil power and the wild energy from the broken spirit rings rushed into his left hand. Suddenly, a dark, heavy, and incredibly strong shadow became solid in his palm. It was the Clear Sky Hammer, known as the number one tool spirit in the world.
Although his Clear Sky Hammer was changed by the dark Rakshasa energy, making it look black and evil instead of bright and righteous, it was still a top-tier attack tool spirit. Its heavy weight and grand destructive power were fully alive, especially with the extra energy from the exploded spirit rings.
Great Sumeru Hammer, Tang San cried out.
He did not have enough time to build up his hammer strikes slowly. He simply dumped all the energy from the Ring Explosion, the Rakshasa evil power, and his deep anger into the dark hammer. In the next second, the hammer grew until it was thousands of meters big. It looked like a giant mountain of a hammer, covered in purple-black fire and wild energy waves. Tang San swung the massive hammer with both hands. He ignored the painful screams of his own veins, which were tearing from the heavy power, and smashed it down toward the statue inside the dark tide.
This strike was not meant to stop the Ninth Spirit Skill. It was meant to break through one point and hit the enemy directly. He aimed the hammer straight at the Sea Spear Douluo's real body, which was stuck in place while controlling the skill.
The dark Clear Sky Hammer hit the Sea Spear Douluo's Ninth Spirit Skill with a massive crash. However, the two powers did not just cancel each other out. The Clear Sky Hammer, filled with the Ring Explosion force and evil Rakshasa energy, focused all its destruction onto a single point. It actually ripped a large hole right through the silent, deep blue domain. The hammer slowed down a little bit, but it did not stop. With unstoppable force, it smashed hard against the chest of the Sea God Spear statue, right where the Sea Spear Douluo was hiding.
What, this is impossible, the Sea Spear Douluo thought in total shock.
He never expected that Tang San, who was supposed to be trapped by Sea Horse Douluo, could suddenly move with such speed and power. He was amazed that Tang San could find the exact moment when his defense was weak to launch a surprise attack. He wanted to stop his skill to defend himself, but he was too slow.
A loud cracking sound echoed across the sea. First, the thick golden energy armor on the statue's chest broke into pieces like glass under the heavy weight of the dark Clear Sky Hammer. Right after that, the force of the hammer passed through the armor and hit the protective spirit power around the Sea Spear Douluo's body.
The Sea Spear Douluo coughed up a large amount of blood. The blood had small golden lights in it, which meant his core spirit power was badly damaged. The golden light of his true body form flashed wildly and started to disappear. Without his energy to keep it alive, his Ninth Spirit Skill began to fail. The deep blue tide of death shook violently and then started to break apart quickly because it lost its source of power.
Another huge explosion happened right where the hammer hit. It was a mix of the Ring Explosion energy, the Rakshasa evil power, the strength of the Clear Sky Hammer, and the remaining force of the breaking Ninth Spirit Skill. A giant ball of light filled with purple, black, gold, and blue colors blew upward. The Sea God Spear statue took the full force of this blast. It let out a final groan and broke apart, turning into golden dust and sea water that fell everywhere.
The Sea Spear Douluo flew through the air like a torn rag doll. His golden armor was completely broken, his body was covered in blood, and his energy dropped to a very low level. He was dangerously hurt. He could barely keep his eyes open, but he had no strength left to fight. He fell down toward the cold sea below.
The wind from the blast also pushed Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun away. They had just escaped the dark tide and were still shaking from fear. Their martial soul forms vanished, and they turned back into humans. Their faces were white, and blood ran from their mouths. Even though they were hurt, they were happy to be alive.
Tang San was also in a bad shape. The damage from breaking his own spirit rings and the strain of using the heavy Clear Sky Hammer hit him at the same time. He groaned in pain. His left arm hung down loosely, completely broken and hurt from the force.
Not far away, Sea Horse Douluo Oya watched his partner get crushed and fall into the water. His eyes became very small with shock. But as a guardian who had protected the Sea God Island for a long time, he did not panic. He quickly made himself calm down.
What an evil spirit master you are, and what a strong Clear Sky Hammer, Oya said, his voice sounding very cold in the sea breeze. Do you really think the same trick will work on me a second time?
Tang San stood in the air. His left arm was useless, and the pain from the Ring Explosion felt like thousands of bugs biting his inside. The wild energy from the eight broken rings was rushing through his body. If he did not use it or release it soon, his body would blow up from the inside, even if the enemy did not touch him.
Whether it works or not, you will find out if you try, Tang San said. He spat out some blood but smiled in a scary way.
As soon as he finished speaking, he turned into a dark shadow and rushed straight at Oya. He moved so fast that three clear shadows followed behind him.
Sixth Spirit Ability, Vast Sea Cage, Oya shouted.
He was fully ready for the attack. In his Sea Horse True Body form, his control over the water was perfect. He pressed his hand against the sea, and the water around them rose up instantly. It turned into a huge, clear water cage that trapped Tang San inside. The cage was not made of solid ice or walls; it was made of many streams of water spinning at high speed. Each stream was as sharp as a metal knife and carried the clean power of the Sea God. The moment Tang San's evil Rakshasa power touched the water, it made a burning sound and began to melt away quickly.
You are just a trapped animal trying to fight. Ninth Spirit Ability, Oya said with a cruel smile. His ninth spirit ring began to glow.
Right then, a wild look flashed in Tang San's eyes. He let out a low roar and stopped trying to kick the water walls. Instead, he moved all the remaining energy from the broken spirit rings into his right hand.
Clear Sky Hammer, Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Method, Tang San cried out.
The dark Clear Sky Hammer appeared again. This time, it did not grow large. It stayed at its normal size, but the front of the hammer held a tiny point of light that looked as dark as a black hole.
Break for me, Tang San yelled.
He swung the hammer down. He did not hit the main water wall. Instead, he aimed at the exact points where the spinning streams of water crossed each other. That was the single spot where the forces balanced out for a tiny second.
With a loud boom, the hammer hit the exact spot, and the balance broke. The whole water cage shook hard. The movement of the water streams became messy. Like a fine machine that got a rock stuck inside it, a bad reaction started, and the water cage began to fall apart from the inside.
What, Oya said, his face changing instantly. He did not expect that an injured Tang San could still see the weakest spot of his skill so clearly.
As the water cage broke apart, Tang San moved through the falling water like a ghost. He kept swinging his Clear Sky Hammer down, aiming straight for Oya's face.
You want to die, Oya roared angrily. He quickly gathered the water around him to form a sharp trident and thrust it toward Tang San.
The hammer and the trident hit each other with a sound like thunder. The force of the strike pushed the sea water down, creating a deep hole in the ocean. Tang San coughed up more blood. The pain in his body grew worse, and the skin on his right arm split open, spilling blood. But the look in his eyes became even wilder. He used the force of the bounce to twist his body in the air and kicked out hard with his left leg.
This kick was timed perfectly, hitting right when Oya had used up his old strength and could not move fast enough to build up new energy. Even worse, the wind from the kick carried dozens of tiny, purple-black poison needles. Oya could only move his body slightly to the side, as his trident was too far away to protect him.
The tiny needles made a sharp sound as three of them hit Oya's left shoulder. The strong poison spread through him instantly. Even with the tough body of a Titled Douluo, Oya felt his left arm go numb, and his movements became slow. That small delay was all Tang San needed.
Mubai, Fatty, do it now, Tang San screamed loudly.
Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun had been waiting for this exact second. They both exploded with power at the same time. Although Dai Mubai's white tiger form had broken earlier, he burned his own blood to bring the tiger shadow back. He jumped at Oya from behind, using his sharp claws to strike at the back of Oya's chest.
Ma Hongjun was even more violent. He gathered all his remaining fire into a small, sharp purple-black flame spear. The spear shot out from the water below, aiming straight for Oya's stomach. It was a complete trap from all sides.
Oya's face turned pale. For the first time, he felt that he might actually die here. He pushed his spirit power as hard as he could, making his Sea Horse form shine with blue light to stop the three attacks at once. In the next second, a blue shield formed in front of Tang San. But a quick defense could not stop a heavy attack that three people had planned carefully.
With a loud crack, the shield broke into pieces after just a moment under the power of Tang San's hammer, Dai Mubai's claws, and Ma Hongjun's flame spear. Dai Mubai's claws were the first to rip through the blue armor on Oya's back, leaving five deep cuts that showed his bones. Oya screamed in pain, and his body bent forward.
Right then, Ma Hongjun's flame spear arrived. The purple fire spear went straight up through Oya's stomach and came out of his back. The evil fire entered his body, burning his insides fast.
The worst hit came from the front. While Oya was screaming from the pain, the Clear Sky Hammer in Tang San's hand smashed hard against his chest. With a heavy sound, Oya's chest bones broke completely, and his heart was destroyed. He opened his eyes wide, looking at Tang San's angry face in shock.
You, all of you, Oya whispered. Blood came out of his mouth and nose, and the light in his eyes started to fade away.
Tang San did not show any feeling. He turned his right hand, and a second wave of hammer force exploded out. With a final boom, Oya's chest sank completely. He flew back like a broken toy and hit the water hard, leaving a red circle of blood on the surface of the sea.
