Most people didn't understand the exchange between Emiya and Hiratsuka Shizuka.
Hestia couldn't help asking, "What are you two talking about?"
Emiya explained calmly, "In Nami's world, the original owner of the Time-Time Fruit was Kozuki Toki. Her real name was Amatsuki Toki, and she came from more than eight hundred years ago. She used the fruit to travel eight hundred years into the future."
Hiratsuka Shizuka continued, "For her, that journey only lasted a moment. But for everyone else, eight hundred years passed. Now that woman is dead. If someone else eats the Time-Time Fruit and goes to the future..."
Natsume Takashi caught on. "Then for the person traveling through time, it's still just a moment. But if we want to find them, we'd have to search in the future."
Emiya nodded.
"That's right. But we don't have any way to travel through time. So all we can do is wait. If they went ten years ahead, we wait ten years. If they went a hundred years ahead, we wait a hundred years."
Loki clicked her tongue and sent a message. "In the end, this is just speculation."
Emiya didn't deny it. "It is. This is just the worst-case scenario. There's also a chance the Time-Time Fruit is still sitting in some corner, gathering dust."
Nami hesitated before typing her own thought. "If the Time-Time Fruit is really that powerful, then if it appeared, it would probably be collected by the Marines or the World Government."
Emiya tagged Issho. "That's where we need your help."
Issho replied helplessly. "The Marines do have some Devil Fruits, but the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia doesn't have any record of the Time-Time Fruit."
Emiya shrugged. "That's unfortunate."
Hestia asked, "What's a Devil Fruit Encyclopedia?"
Hiratsuka Shizuka explained, "Devil Fruits appear in very strange ways, so an encyclopedia is used to identify them. If even the Marines' encyclopedia doesn't have it recorded, then even if the Time-Time Fruit were right in front of us, we might not recognize it."
Nami asked, "If the Marines don't have it, does the World Government have any information?"
Robin answered calmly, pouring cold water on the idea. "I doubt it. Kozuki Toki ate the Time-Time Fruit over eight hundred years ago. The World Government was established eight hundred years ago as well. I don't think the World Government back then had any information about it."
Nami: "..."
Emiya typed again. "In other words, finding the Time-Time Fruit isn't easy. If it were that simple, I would've taken it the last time I was in Nami's world."
He paused, then continued. "So for now, the most reliable approach is to enter a world where time travel is possible. There may not seem to be many, but there are actually quite a few. Be patient, Miyano Shiho and Shinobu Kocho. If I get the chance, I will save your family members."
Miyano Shiho replied, "I understand. Thank you, boss."
Shinobu Kocho smiled as she typed. "I will wait patiently. Please rest assured, Emiya-sama."
Emiya shifted topics. "Even if the Time-Time Fruit isn't reliable, it's still a lead. Issho, keep an eye out for any related clues."
Issho replied, "Understood."
Emiya finished. "Alright, that's enough for today. I'll have Miyano Shiho and Shinobu Kocho accelerate the production of the elixir of youth. If anyone needs it, message me. Once it's ready, I'll send it over."
With that, Emiya left the group chat.
He turned to Kimberly and Karyuusai Shouko, who were seated beside him.
"Do either of you want the elixir of youth?"
Karyuusai Shouko smiled. "I'll ask for it when I need it, boss."
Kimberly adjusted her glasses. "Same here."
"Alright." Emiya nodded, then looked at Karyuusai Shouko. "Come with me. I need your help."
"So soon?" Shouko said, but she didn't refuse.
She stood up and followed him.
Emiya brought her to his dorm.
When she stepped inside, the sheer size of the space caught her off guard.
Emiya smiled. "Medea, I brought you a helper."
Medea, who was in the middle of creating a massive dragon, turned and walked over.
Emiya spoke again. "Medea, this is Karyuusai Shouko. Miss Shouko, this is my lover, Medea. She's working on a giant dragon automaton. Can you assist her?"
Karyuusai Shouko nodded slightly. "It would be my honor, boss."
Medea looked her over briefly, then nodded. "Come with me, Karyuusai Shouko."
Shouko followed her into the factory Medea had built by hand.
Medea handed over the dragon automaton blueprints and explained her design concepts in detail.
Shouko listened quietly.
By the end, her admiration was obvious.
"This is truly eye-opening. Miss Medea must have used a great deal of magic from other worlds."
Medea nodded. "That's right. I'm using a lot of Einzbern technology. If you want it, I can give it to you."
Shouko froze. "You can?"
Medea replied calmly, "I only want to create the best dragon automaton for my Darling."
That was enough.
Shouko stopped holding back. "Then I'll gladly accept."
Medea gave her the Einzbern homunculus technology.
She also handed over the Key of Solomon.
Even for Shouko, absorbing all of that knowledge wouldn't be easy.
It would take time.
Emiya wasn't in a hurry.
He let the two of them continue their exchange.
He even brought Kimberly over to join the discussion.
There was no harm in letting her learn some magic as well.
With nothing else pressing, Emiya found himself idle.
Naturally, he decided to enter a new world.
If that world allowed time travel, it might solve the problems of Shinobu Kocho and Miyano Shiho.
The next morning, after layering several defensive measures on himself, Emiya activated his ability.
The moment he opened his eyes, he splashed into a lake.
Seeing the water, a familiar thought surfaced.
Campione.
Luo Cuilian.
He had once met a God Slayer in a lake and nearly died for it.
He hoped history wouldn't repeat itself.
Emiya reinforced his defenses and scanned his surroundings.
There was no one in sight.
He finally relaxed.
Using psychic power, he lifted himself out of the lake and landed on the grassy shore, then dismissed his defenses.
At that moment, something splashed again.
A massive fish flew out of the lake and landed at his feet.
It was larger than a human.
Not a species Emiya recognized.
One thing was certain.
It hadn't jumped out on its own.
It had been thrown.
The calm surface of the lake exploded once more.
A figure shot out of the water and landed in front of him.
A beautiful woman.
Long black hair.
Crimson eyes.
A sharp, wary gaze.
She held a katana, its tip aimed directly at Emiya.
"Who are you?" she demanded. "Why are you here?"
Emiya took in her outfit and weapon.
His mind moved quickly.
If he wasn't mistaken-
This was Akame.
The female protagonist of Akame ga Kill!.
A world also known, less kindly, as Kill! the Girls.
Because almost every beautiful girl there met a tragic end.
Even recognizing her, Emiya had no intention of befriending her.
He spoke calmly. "I'm a traveler who got lost. I apologize for trespassing. You seem familiar with this area. If it's not too much trouble, could you show me the way out? I'll pay you."
"A traveler?" Akame looked surprised, then her eyes hardened. "You're lying."
"I'm not."
"Your eyes tell me you know me."
Her grip tightened. "You clearly recognize me, yet you pretend you don't. You're from the Empire."
"No. I'm really not."
"Don't waste my time."
She moved first.
The blade flashed toward his head.
But Emiya noticed something immediately.
She was using the back of the blade.
Not the edge.
She wasn't trying to kill him.
It was either a test.
Or she intended to knock him out and interrogate him properly.
Whatever her reason-
She wasn't aiming to take his life.
