Chapter 217: Zhongli Wu's Speculation

It was clear just how heaven-defying the power of the Lovesick Heartbroken Red truly was.

If this Nine-Yao Divine Lotus was indeed a divine-grade immortal herb on par with the Heartbroken Red, then they all instantly understood—the Wheel of Fate was capable of producing treasures of almost unimaginable value.

"Most likely, yes," said Mu En. "Our academy has acquired several immortal herbs before, and the aura released by this Nine-Yao Divine Lotus feels nearly identical to that of an immortal herb."

"However, the power radiating from this one… is far stronger than any of the herbs Shrek Academy has ever possessed."

A heavy seriousness settled over Mu En's expression, but there was no reclaiming what had already been lost.

None of them had anticipated that this woman could draw such an extraordinary treasure from what should have been an uncertain gamble.

It seemed fate did not favor Shrek Academy this time.

Others, too, voiced their admiration for the prize, unable to suppress their imagination.

If their own factions had taken the chance to spin the divine artifact, could they perhaps have obtained something equally miraculous?

"What exactly does this Nine-Yao Divine Lotus do?"

After putting the lotus away, Gu Yuena looked up at Ling Yun with curiosity. She wanted to know the full extent of its abilities.

"The Wheel of Fate determines the quality of rewards by color," explained Ling Yun. "You must have seen it—the light that appeared just now was gold, representing the highest tier of treasure this artifact can produce."

"As for the Nine-Yao Divine Lotus, it has no complex uses. It has one supreme function—it can heal all wounds in existence. It is the ultimate treasure of regeneration, able to restore even flesh and bone to the dead."

Ling Yun's words reverberated through the hall, clearly outlining the artifact's miraculous nature.

Gu Yuena's eyes shone. Her breathing quickened slightly as she asked, "Even wounds caused by a God King?"

"Of course. As long as you still draw breath, consuming this Nine-Yao Divine Lotus will erase all injuries from your body—completely, without side effects," Ling Yun confirmed.

Gu Yuena froze, her heart quivering with emotion.

She had never imagined that, from such a casual decision, she would obtain something capable of healing even the godly injuries within her body.

Could it be that the wounds left by the God Kings tens of thousands of years ago might finally be healed today?

Whether everything was as the Star Auction Pavilion claimed, she could only confirm after returning and consuming it herself.

However, given the Pavilion's impeccable reputation, Gu Yuena had little reason to doubt them.

"That's wonderful! If that's true, then the Lord's internal wounds can finally be healed!"

Di Tian, Bi Ji, and the other soul beasts could no longer contain their joy.

They knew well that their master's long rest had been due to the lingering divine energy within her wounds.

Now that the Nine-Yao Divine Lotus could remove that burden, their excitement was beyond words.

They could already envision the day when their master, fully recovered, would lead them in a counterattack against the Divine Realm.

What an unexpected fortune—just a few gold soul coins spent to purchase something that could heal such a grave wound. Truly, the Star Auction Pavilion lived up to its legend.

After storing the lotus, Gu Yuena disappeared from the auction platform, waiting patiently for the rest of the auction to finish.

Her mind, however, was already elsewhere—eager to end this event and consume the lotus that could finally free her from her ancient pain.

"It can heal all wounds… so this is the true power of a divine-grade immortal herb. It's indeed not inferior to the Lovesick Heartbroken Red," said Mu En quietly, his tone tinged with awe.

The others from Shrek Academy felt the same shock.

After all, the types of injuries in the world were countless—poison, fatal wounds, martial spirit backlash—and each one was typically incurable.

Yet this Nine-Yao Divine Lotus could supposedly mend all of them.

If the Star Auction Pavilion dared make such a claim, it meant the herb truly possessed that power.

That thought filled them with regret. Had Shrek Academy chosen to bid, they might have claimed this divine treasure themselves.

It was like letting a true lifesaving herb slip through their fingers.

"God King injuries? In our earlier investigations of the Star Dou Forest, did we ever discover what kind of soul beast that woman is?"

Unlike the others, who were still marveling at the lotus's power, Zhongli Wu, the Holy Spirit Cult's leader, focused on a far more alarming question.

The woman's presence was overwhelming—her mere aura felt like a mountain pressing against his back.

But her mention of "God King wounds" raised a chilling possibility.

A God King's power was exclusive to the highest beings of the Divine Realm.

So why would this woman's words suggest that she had personally endured such injuries?

"Leader," replied one of the elders, "after the Star Auction Pavilion appeared and Di Tian arrived, we sent most of our forces to investigate the Star Dou Forest and other great beast habitats. Yet, we could not find any trace of that woman."

"I strongly suspect she might be a true million-year soul beast. After all, even Di Tian—an eighty-thousand-year soul beast—shows her such deep respect."

"Beyond that, there's no other logical explanation."

The elder's voice was steady, but his conclusion sent shivers through the hearts of those present.

"A true million-year soul beast…" Zhongli Wu murmured, realization dawning upon him. His expression hardened.

He turned his gaze toward Gu Yuena, seated beside Di Tian, and his brows furrowed deeply with unease.

His subordinate had made him realize his earlier assumption was wrong. He had thought she was powerful but not beyond Di Tian's level.

Now, recalling her aura and the reverence even Di Tian showed her, the truth was clear—she was indeed a real million-year soul beast, likely a being equal to a god in strength.

It was no wonder the Divine Realm's gods had once wounded her; her existence must have been something they feared.

Otherwise, she never would have spoken so casually about injuries inflicted by the God Kings themselves.

"This is troublesome," one elder said worriedly. "If the soul beasts truly have such a supreme powerhouse among them, and she decides to lead them against humanity, wouldn't our plans suffer catastrophic damage?"

The hall fell silent.

Zhongli Wu's expression turned grim. "At this point, I see no clear countermeasure. For now, we'll finish observing the auction. Once it concludes, send additional scouts into the Star Dou Forest. If our suspicions prove correct, we must accelerate our plans immediately."

His words carried a quiet heaviness that made every member of the Holy Spirit Cult uneasy.

But soon, as the third auction item was about to begin, they could only suppress their thoughts for the moment.

Once this auction ended, they would conduct a full investigation—and discover whether their darkest suspicions were true.
