Chapter 360: Sasuke VS Killer Bee
The next day.
The sun rose.
Outside Kumogakure, within a zigzag-shaped canyon, a tall mountain stood at a corner. Midway up the mountain was a large circular platform.
After traveling all night, Sasuke's team—now without Jūgo—managed to bypass Kumogakure's outer patrol lines and infiltrate this area.
"Karin, is this the place?"
Sasuke looked up. A stairway connected the mountain's base to its mid-level platform, at the end of which stood a large gate.
At that moment, the gate was tightly shut. Karin closed her eyes.
From behind the closed door, an overwhelming chakra radiated outward. Her body trembled slightly, and cold sweat formed on her forehead.
She had never felt such terrifying chakra before.
Only a Tailed Beast Jinchūriki could possess chakra of this magnitude.
Karin opened her eyes and nodded to Sasuke. "There's terrifying chakra inside. It must be the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki."
"Good."
Sasuke nodded. The three of them began moving to capture the Eight-Tails.
CLANG!
Before they could take their first step, the large gate at the mountain's summit suddenly opened. A muscular man wearing sunglasses and carrying seven swords on his back stepped out.
As he walked, he rapped awkwardly to himself.
"Yo yo… finished training all night, the air's delight, I'm feelin' just right, yo yo check it out… huh?"
"Yo yo, who are y'all? Baka yarō, kuruyarō!"
Killer Bee struck a few rapper poses, then looked curiously at the three figures on the lower platform. Noticing their red cloud-on-black Akatsuki cloaks, he recalled something.
"Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, we're here to capture you."
Sasuke stated bluntly as he calmly stepped toward the stairs, instructing Suigetsu and Karin not to intervene—he could handle it alone.
The skies cleared, the rain stopped, and once again, our dear Sasuke thought he had it in the bag.
He actually planned to solo the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki.
"Classic Sasuke,"
From a distant mountaintop, Li Yao's Obito clone quietly observed Sasuke and his team, shaking his head.
Sasuke truly was the kind of guy who kept charging in and getting beat down.
"So it's you guys who took down Yugito. Kuruyarō, baka yarō."
On the mountaintop, Killer Bee now recognized them—they were from Akatsuki, the ones who had captured Yugito. There was no way he'd let them leave alive.
Whoosh!
Killer Bee leapt into the air, flipping countless times midair as he crossed the long staircase and landed squarely on the large platform.
Despite falling from at least fifty meters, the ground showed no signs of impact—his chakra control was clearly extraordinary.
Step! Step! Step step step!
Sasuke strode forward, his pace quickening with each step.
Killer Bee watched him, mildly impressed by the boy's speed. Not bad, he thought.
But just "not bad."
CLANG!
Sasuke unsheathed his Kusanagi sword, leapt high into the air, and spun midair to bring the blade down fiercely on Killer Bee.
But the strike didn't even prompt a dodge. Killer Bee simply raised one leg and kicked Sasuke's wrist with pinpoint accuracy.
Sasuke reacted swiftly. As the attack was stopped, he used the downward momentum to flip his body and aimed a sharp kick at Killer Bee's throat.
Killer Bee dipped his head slightly, catching the kick between his chin and chest. Then, an idea struck him.
He pulled out his rhyme notebook and pen.
Sasuke thought it was a follow-up attack and quickly retreated—only to glance back and see Killer Bee mumbling to himself while scribbling.
Sasuke frowned. It wasn't that he felt insulted, but this guy was clearly no easy opponent.
His kick had been blocked purely by Killer Bee's physical body.
The man's physical durability was immense. Punches and kicks would be ineffective. Only the Kusanagi sword would work.
Sasuke tightened his grip on the blade.
Having finished jotting down his burst of lyrical inspiration, Killer Bee finally got serious.
"What kind of stance is that?!"
Suigetsu exclaimed. Could someone really fight in that posture?
Killer Bee drew all seven of his sharp swords—biting down on one, holding two in his hands, wedging two between his bent elbows, and clamping the last two between his knees.
He stood in a bizarre pose, managing to hold all seven swords at once.
How could someone fight like this?
Suigetsu and even Sasuke were baffled.
But Killer Bee quickly showed them exactly how he fought with seven blades.
The swords whirled around him, circling like living things.
With terrifying control over his body and limbs, Killer Bee moved as though he had seven arms, attacking Sasuke from every possible angle.
Shing shing shing!
BAM!
In an instant, Sasuke—who had arrogantly not activated his Sharingan—was slashed three times. Then Killer Bee followed up with a swift kick to his gut.
BAM!
Sasuke's body slammed into the ground near Suigetsu and Karin.
"Sasuke!!"
Both shouted in shock—they hadn't expected him to lose so quickly.
Whoosh!
Killer Bee didn't hesitate. He dashed forward, ready to finish the job.
CLANG!
At the last second, Suigetsu stepped in, swinging the Executioner's Blade at Killer Bee.
CLANG!
Suddenly, Suigetsu's blade locked in place—Killer Bee had flipped mid-air and caught it in the Executioner's Blade's notch, pinning it to the ground.
BAM!
Without giving Suigetsu time to react, Killer Bee spun and kicked him aside. At the same time, he hurled a sword straight at Sasuke's head.
In the blink of an eye, Karin—who was about to lift Sasuke—was completely caught off guard.
CLANG!
Just as the blade was about to pierce his skull, Sasuke finally stopped underestimating his opponent. He activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and manifested a partial Susanoo ribcage to block the strike.
"Susanoo… Mangekyō Sharingan, huh."
"Then take this—baka yarō, kuruyarō!"
Seeing the dark-blue skeletal armor and the Mangekyō pattern in Sasuke's eyes, Killer Bee—well-versed in Uchiha lore—realized simple taijutsu and basic ninjutsu wouldn't be enough anymore.
Watching Sasuke carry Karin away, he didn't give chase. Instead, he activated his Full Tailed Beast Mode.
In an instant—
The massive ox-headed, octopus-bodied Eight-Tails Bijū appeared beneath the platform and swung a massive palm toward Sasuke and Karin.
BOOM!
The platform at the mountain's midpoint collapsed completely, debris flying everywhere. Within the dust cloud, Sasuke and Karin were launched in their Susanoo shell.
But the Eight-Tails quickly reappeared beside them and punched the Susanoo directly.
CRASH!
BOOM!
The Susanoo was smashed down to the foot of the mountain at incredible speed.
Spurt!
Sasuke coughed up blood. It also gushed from his eyes. Susanoo shattered instantly—it was clear that the Eight-Tails' punch had carried tremendous force. Though the Susanoo had blocked the blow, the strain on Sasuke's eyes was overwhelming.
