"Aren't you glad we went to the waterfall?" Bianca asked Valentina with a smile on her face as they prepared the twins for bed.
"It was alright." She shrugged.
"Just alright huh?" Bianca's brow twitched in amusement and Valentina laughed..
"I'm glad it made the twins fall asleep easily. Is that good enough?"
"Yeah, it's great. Alright, I'll just go to my room. Knock if you need anything." She rubbed her back gently in a motherly gesture.
"Thanks mum."
"Anytime my baby."
Valentina's eyes glimmered with gratitude and love for her mother, as she watched her go to her room through the adjoining door.
She was still watching even after the door shut when she heard a soft rapt on her own door.
Her forehead creased as her eyes went to the door.
"Who is there?" She asked, careful not to raise her voice as she walked closer to the door.
"It's me."
Valentina didn't instantly recognise the voice until she opened the door and saw Isadora standing outside.
"Oh hey. Isadora right?"
