Luciano didn't want to think about the fact Valentina had been crying.
He knew she tried to get rid of the evidence. She had failed woefully in doing so.
Maybe it was just because he knew her well enough, even though he didn't want to remember what that was like.
"They're so beautiful, dearest. I can't believe how beautiful they are." Isadora kept repeating on the drive into Aurivilla.
"They really are," he replied, and smiled.
"I'm so glad Valentina was okay with this little arrangement. I know we're going to have a lot of fun at the park in Aurivilla."
He smiled, as he observed how sincerely joyous she looked.
That was the difference.
Everything she did was sincere. He hadn't realised how attractive a characteristic like sincerity was, until the absence of it had almost led to his demise.
