Somewhere in the world, in a secret base.
The headquarters of the World Economic Journal looked like a massive, chaotic bird's nest. The room was packed with buzzing communication devices and piles of fluttering papers.
The President of the journal, Morgans, known throughout the seas as "Big News," was in a terrible mood. He was irritably flipping through a stack of routine reports with his feathered wings. A wedding for some king, a bounty for a group of rookie pirates, the discovery of a few rare minerals—it was all so boring! To him, reading this trash was like chewing on flavorless wax.
"Is there no real news left to make people's blood boil?!" he muttered, using his beak to straighten his top hat and small bow tie. "This world has been too quiet for too long. People are going to forget what 'news' actually means!"
He leaned back, his mind wandering. "Speaking of which, why hasn't that Takuro guy made a move in so long?"
Morgans had been obsessed with Takuro ever since the rookie had first shaken the world years ago. His gut told him that Takuro was destined to do something massive. But as the years passed, the terrifying rookie seemed to have vanished from the sea.
"Sigh..." Morgans let out a long breath of disappointment.
Just then, a special Den Den Mushi on his desk—one with a gold-plated shell—suddenly let out a sharp, urgent ring! "Buru-buru-buru!"
This specific snail was connected to his most secret and dangerous intelligence line, pointed straight at the Holy Land. Morgans froze instantly. His bird eyes widened, and his pupils shrank with pure, raw excitement. The rhythm of this ringtone meant only one thing: an emergency at the highest level. This was news capable of shaking the very foundations of the world!
He practically lunged across the desk, grabbing the receiver with his wing. His voice was distorted with anticipation. "Hello?! It's me! Talk to me, quickly!"
On the other end, he heard a voice panting in sheer terror and disbelief. In the background, there were the sounds of explosions and people screaming.
"Pre... President! Mary Geoise... Mary Geoise is finished!!"
Morgans gripped the phone tighter.
"It's been breached! It was Takuro! And he wasn't alone! Whitebeard, Kaido, the Big Mom Pirates, and the Revolutionary Army... they all joined forces!" the agent screamed. "Pangaea Castle has collapsed! The Gorosei are dead! The Celestial Dragons are being rounded up like stray dogs! The Holy Land is nothing but ruins!!!"
Crack!
Morgans felt like a bolt of lightning had struck his brain. For a second, the rest of the world just went silent. The wing holding the phone trembled violently, and every feather on his body stood on end.
Mary Geoise... fallen? The World Government, which had ruled for eight hundred years, was actually overthrown? The "Gods" of this world, the Celestial Dragons, were now prisoners? Even the five elders of the Gorosei were gone?
This wasn't just news. This was a legend. This was an epic! It was the sound of the old era's funeral bell and the new era's battle horn ringing out at the same time.
"Wait, you're sure Takuro was the one who did it?" Morgans asked, his voice shaking.
"Yes! To be precise, Takuro almost single-handedly smashed through Mary Geoise's entire defense!"
After the initial shock, a wave of pure ecstasy hit Morgans like a volcanic eruption. He felt his blood boiling. Every cell in his body was screaming with joy.
"Haha... Hahaha... Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!"
He threw his head back and laughed like a madman. The sound echoed through the huge room, filled with a mix of insanity and delight. He laughed so hard he started to cry.
"It's here! It's finally here! Eight hundred years! I've waited my whole life for this! A 'Big News' story truly worthy of this era has finally been born!!!"
He tossed the receiver aside and began to dance wildly around the office. His wings flapped furiously, sending thousands of routine reports flying into the air like snow.
"Quick! Quick! Get moving! Everyone, get to work now!!" he roared at his subordinates, who had rushed in after hearing his maniacal laughter. A fanatical fire burned in his eyes.
"Activate every channel we have! Turn on every backup printing press! Get every scrap of paper and every drop of ink we have in stock!"
He rushed to his editor's desk, dipped his wing directly into a jar of thick ink, and began writing a headline with frantic, shaky strokes. It was a headline that would change history:
[THE FALL OF THE OLD GODS! The Madman of the New Era—Takuro, with Allied Forces, Tramples the Holy Land Mary Geoise! Eight Hundred Years of World Government Rule is Over!]
He stared at the words, his body trembling with excitement. "No! It's not enough! It's not shocking enough!" He grabbed the pen again and added an even bigger subtitle:
[Absolute Power! Absolute Subversion! This Ocean Has Changed Hands, Starting Today!]
"Pictures! Where are the pictures?!" he screamed at his staff. "I want the clearest, most terrifying photos! I want the ruins of Mary Geoise! I want the looks on the faces of the captured Celestial Dragons! I want Takuro's face! Hurry! I don't care about the cost, just get me those images!"
The entire base of the World Economic Journal suddenly roared to life. It was like a machine running on pure adrenaline. Flocks of Albatross News Birds were gathered by the hundreds, ready to carry the special extras to every corner of the planet. Underground printing presses ran at maximum speed, the machines thumping and ink splashing everywhere. Reporters and spies hidden across the globe were activated, sending in every bit of data they could find.
Morgans stood in the middle of the whirling papers and roaring engines, spreading his wings wide as if he were embracing the new world he was about to announce.
"Let the news fly! Let the whole world tremble when they read my paper!!" His eyes shone with the pride of a true newsman. "Now this... this is real 'Big News'!!!"
A few hours later, the first batch of "Special Editions" was ready. Carrying the scent of fresh ink and featuring headlines that would change lives forever, the papers were sent out. Thousands of News Birds flew like white arrows toward the Four Seas and every island in the Grand Line.
The news traveled faster than a tsunami. It would ignite the hearts of everyone who heard it—some with fear, some with joy, and others with a new, dangerous ambition.
A new era had begun. It was chaotic, full of unknown possibilities, and it had been forcibly opened by Takuro. Thanks to Morgans, the whole world was about to find out.
