The van pulled away from the curb.

She looked straight ahead and breathed in through her nose, slow and deliberate, the kind of breath that was a decision rather than a reflex.
'Okay,' she thought. 'Okay.'
The woman had known her name.
The woman had been wearing Jiwon's glasses.
She breathed out.
'Her father's people are here,' she reminded herself. 'They have been here the whole time. Whoever that woman is, she did not go unnoticed sitting alone at a bar near where the tour party was having dinner. That is not how this works.'
She breathed in again.
This was a scare tactic. That was all it was. Someone wanted her rattled. Someone wanted her to go back to the hotel distracted and anxious and start making noise, which would reach Haejin, which would interrupt the tour, which was probably the entire point.
She was not going to do that.
She looked out the window at Tokyo passing by.
