Chapter 281 - Chapter 281 Touching the Door

At night, Johnny was taking a cold shower alone in the bathroom, his FN 57 resting next to the showerhead.

He had made special arrangements for all the doors and windows, placing charcoal in the rotating parts of the door seams; as soon as a door was opened, it would make a loud sound as a warning.

After showering, Johnny took his Pistol and sat on the balcony, enjoying his night.

This villa was at the very top, with no surrounding mountains or taller buildings, standing all by itself.

But precisely because of this, Johnny preferred it here, as he wouldn't be watched from above.

Having been chased by the Mafia during the day, he was extra cautious when choosing a place to stay.

After a while of enjoying the sea breeze, Johnny couldn't stand it anymore; the salty sea air didn't quite match the environment here, so he retreated indoors, lay comfortably on his bed, and prepared to embark on his journey to dreamland.

Midnight, 2:32 AM.

Two figures in black tactical suits slowly approached from a distance, making no sound. They wore bulletproof tactical vests and tactical armor, with knitted beanies and AN/PVS-31 night vision goggles on their heads.

One carried an UZI submachine gun and a fully equipped, suppressed m4 carbine on his back, with a Walther P99 holstered at his waist.

The other had a USP and a fully equipped, suppressed MCX rifle (7.62 version).

Thus, the two, one after the other, stealthily made their way near Johnny's villa.

Then they exchanged glances and lowered their night vision goggles.

One of them gently pushed the door, but a creaking sound came from behind it.

He immediately stopped his action.

He realized that the guy inside seemed excessively cautious.

The other went directly to the window side, attempting to open it, but the window also made creaking sounds.

At this point, both their expressions turned somewhat grim; such cautious behavior made things very difficult for them.

Meanwhile, upstairs, Johnny also heard the sound and instantly sprang out of bed.

He hadn't fallen into a deep sleep, so any slight disturbance would easily wake him, and the best effect of placing charcoal in the door seams was precisely this.

He threw on a jacket and stood up; he hadn't even taken off his pants when he went to sleep.

He didn't want to be caught running around naked if an emergency battle broke out in the middle of the night.

Leaving his room, he went directly to the balcony, peering out, but saw nothing. He then quickly moved to another spot, where he could just see a corner of the downstairs main gate.

He couldn't see them clearly, but vaguely sensed two people lurking there.

It was troublesome because his night vision wasn't good, and while there were lights in the villa, they weren't all on.

He slowly drew his sand viper.

Unable to deal with them from upstairs, Johnny immediately retreated to the other end, which was near the cliff side and had a drainpipe leading down; he could descend by following this pipe.

Johnny estimated there were at least two people downstairs, so he moved as quietly as possible when he reached this spot.

After observing for a moment, he climbed outside and slid down the water pipe.

Thus, Johnny arrived on the first floor, while the two were at the main gate on the other side, about 60 meters apart.

Johnny slowly moved his steps, trying not to let his footsteps alert the other party, and circled around from the right.

The two uninvited guests, upon realizing that no matter which door they tried to open, it would cause a loud noise, immediately adopted another plan, which was to go to the left side of the villa.

They planned to climb directly up the exterior wall.

One stepped on the other's clasped hands, and then the latter exerted force, pushing the former up. The one pushed up tightly grabbed the edge of the balcony, took a deep breath, and flipped over.

The one who went up immediately lay down. The other retreated a few steps, then charged forward, stepped on the wall, and then leaped upward with force.

The other person reached out and grabbed his hand, and then this person again kicked hard on the wall, using the momentum to climb up.

Just like that, Johnny went downstairs, while the two went upstairs.

When Johnny arrived at the main gate, he peered out several times but found no one.

This left Johnny bewildered, "Where are they?"

He immediately took a few steps forward, still finding no one.

"Two possibilities: one, they've already run away; second, they've entered through other means."

Johnny's mind raced, but he quickly ruled out the first. If they ran away that quickly, it would be too much of an insult to the assassin profession.

So, the most likely possibility was that these two guys had already gone inside. But the problem was that he had stuffed charcoal into all the door and window seams; once a door opened, there would be a loud noise.

Damn it, am I setting traps for myself?

Johnny also felt speechless, but he couldn't run too far now, otherwise, the opponent could still take him down from above. So he could only stay close to the first-floor wall of the villa and wait for an opportunity.

After the two assassins entered on the second floor, they quickly began their search but found no one.

After meeting up, they exchanged glances, "He left and hasn't returned?"

"That's not right, we clearly saw him in the villa, how could he suddenly disappear??"

"Could he have discovered us?"

After a brief exchange, the two assassins resumed their pair system, observing as they descended.

After checking all suspicious areas again, they confirmed that there was indeed no one inside the villa.

So, the two flipped up their night vision goggles, "When did he escape?"

"Hell, how should I know!"

At this moment, Johnny was hiding in the corner outside the main gate, not daring to breathe loudly.

He knew very well that after the two assassins finished searching the villa and confirmed no one was there, they would definitely leave.

He just needed to quietly wait for the opportunity to arrive.

In fact, Johnny's judgment was very accurate; after several fruitless searches inside the villa, the two decided to leave.

But they didn't choose to leave through the main gate; instead, they chose to jump down from the second floor.

However, it was quite a coincidence that when the first guy jumped down, he happened to be not far from Johnny.

Since he wasn't wearing night vision goggles, he didn't notice Johnny, who was less than 20 meters away, butt sticking out, looking towards the main gate.

He first looked up at his companion above, then felt something was off, and turned his head to look in Johnny's direction.

At this moment, Johnny also heard the movement behind him, immediately turned around, and aimed his gun backward.

Both saw each other at the same time, though only as Vague outlines.

The man immediately tried to raise the Uzi hanging on his chest, but Johnny was a step faster.

Puff, puff, puff!

The muzzle flash was so dazzling in the darkness.
