Chapter 355 - Chapter 355: Coming to the Door (Day 1)

It took some time to extract Reyes's fingerprints, but Tej and Pierce repeatedly compared them, and they weren't too far off. Brian also contributed significantly during this period.

Mia, who had been monitoring the police department's internal network, suddenly informed everyone of an urgent message: all their information had been recorded by Interpol.

And a warrant for their arrest had been issued by Hobbs.

However, interestingly, Johnny's name was not on these warrants, as if he had been deliberately overlooked.

But the group didn't notice this detail.

Being pursued by Hobbs certainly heightened the tension within the team.

Especially Pierce and the others, who were implicated, felt a pang of worry, though they didn't inherently feel much about it. It was just that with the operation imminent, this unexpected snag really left them scrambling.

After the warrants were issued, their future actions would become even more difficult, but Dominic had a good idea.

"Since Hobbs has issued warrants for our arrest, it means his informants will find us. Perhaps we can use a special method to make him tuck his tail between his legs and go back home."

Dominic's mind worked quickly; it had to be said his brain was indeed sharp, and he quickly came up with a very good plan.

Johnny's first reaction was to confront them head-on and eliminate them. His second reaction was, what if they couldn't be eliminated?

Then they could only outsmart them. He looked at everyone present, then at Dominic, and suddenly realized what method this guy was going to use.

Sure enough, in the evening, Hobbs received a report from his informant: they had already located Dominic and the others.

"I've found you after all. This time, I'd like to see where you run!"

After Hobbs packed up his gear, he directly called his team to head to that location.

Meanwhile, Dominic and the others were organizing a social gathering with Rio's underground gangs.

Their location being exposed today was intentional; Dominic had set a trap for Hobbs to walk into.

He directly found friends from several underground factions in Rio, invited them to gather, held an outdoor BBQ at the location, and reminded them to bring their personal weapons.

And so, some grilled meat, some drank, some danced, some chatted, everyone was busy with their own affairs. Suddenly, three cars directly rushed in from outside.

A team of people got out of the cars, each holding a Pistol pointed at the crowd.

Hobbs walked to Dominic's opposite side, looking at Dominic, "This time, I'd like to see where else you can run."

Johnny looked at Hobbs, "Good heavens, isn't that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson?"

He's really strong, and completely bald.

But Dominic ignored Hobbs's words. His gaze was fixed on the silver cross necklace around Neves's neck, who stood beside him.

This was left to Dominic by his deceased wife.

Last time, when Hobbs pursued him in Brazil, he accidentally dropped it and didn't expect this female officer to pick it up and carry it with her.

But Dominic didn't make a fuss; he just silently withdrew his gaze and looked at Hobbs.

"Did I hear that right? You're asking me how I plan to escape this time?"

A smile played on Dominic's lips, "Are you serious? Please get one thing straight."

Dominic took a few steps towards Hobbs; the two were almost face-to-face. On the other side, Tej also began his small actions, but everyone's attention was drawn to Dominic, and no one noticed what he was doing.

"This is Rio, this isn't your America. Put away your arrogant ways; it's a long way from home here, this is Brazil!"

Dominic heavily emphasized the word "Brazil." The moment he finished speaking, all the members present pulled out their firearms—submachine guns, rifles, Pistols—and forty or fifty people surrounded the ten individuals, pointing their guns at them.

To be honest, in this moment, Johnny was a bit on edge. So many people, so many guns pointed at him—even if he had a cheat code today, he wouldn't be able to escape.

Not to mention Hobbs's Interpol team.

Seeing this scene, Hobbs was almost furious. He even wanted to start a fight regardless of the consequences, but his deputy captain stepped forward to persuade him, "This isn't the place to act. Be patient."

After hearing his deputy captain's words, Hobbs forcibly calmed himself down.

Indeed, with so many guns pointed at him, unless he transformed into a super-human, there was no way to instantly eliminate everyone. Doing so would only increase casualties for his teammates.

Looking at the self-satisfied Dominic, Hobbs was fuming, but he couldn't do anything about it, after all, he was surrounded by so many guns.

In the end, a helpless Hobbs could only retreat. Just like that, the three cars left the way they came, only with a hint of shame as they departed.

Johnny found this scene somewhat amusing.

However, Johnny's gaze fell elsewhere. As the largest armored vehicle left, Johnny saw an additional person on the ground.

Tej immediately stood up, clapped his hands, then stood up and patted the dirt off his back, "This way, I know exactly where you are."

Johnny immediately laughed, "That sly fox. But putting the GPS on this armored vehicle was the right choice; this way we know where they are."

Then the party continued; those who drank, drank; those who sang, sang; those who grilled, grilled.

Just like that, the crisis brought by Hobbs was temporarily alleviated.

However, Dominic looked in the direction they left, somewhat distracted, and Johnny also noticed this scene, but he didn't connect it with other plot points.

After all, he had long forgotten most of the plot; remembering some parts was already good.

"Are you okay?"

Johnny patted Dominic's shoulder, asking.

"Don't worry, I'm fine." Dominic shook his head, then turned and went back inside, starting to barbecue.

And in the departing vehicle, Hobbs slammed his fist against the door, "Damn it, he got away again!"

Hobbs was furious. He hadn't expected to finally locate Dominic, corner him, and still let him escape right under his nose. His ignominious departure left him deeply unwilling to accept it.

His deputy captain beside him spoke up to comfort him, "Today's environment and situation didn't allow us to make more moves. There was nothing we could do; it wasn't a mistake in your decision-making."

Although he had a teammate comforting him, Hobbs was still very displeased, because the feeling of being outmaneuvered made him feel terrible.

"And that assassin called Night Owl, Johnny..." Hobbs wondered, "What exactly is his identity?"
