"Well, if all you wanted was to have a part of me inside you, dinner would've been a much cheaper first date. Being eaten alive isn't exactly my idea of romance."
"You really are a fascinating being. Even in my current form, I can tell you're still harboring an intense desire to ravage my body. Or is it that you simply don't believe I can defeat you?"
"Oh." I scratched my head. "You can beat me, all right... especially if you use both hands."
I expected her to be annoyed by my green joke, but instead, the corners of her lips curled into a smile.
"Again, your desire for me rises whenever you say things like that. Could it be you're the sort of being who would do anything, so long as it's possible?"
I laughed and leveled my spear at her.
"I firmly believe in one saying," I said. "Where there's a hole, there's a way."
"What a strange saying. I've searched the minds of countless humans, yet I've never come across it."
