Chapter 79 - Time For 'Alister' To Shine

{A/N: Hey! I hope everyone is liking the direction where the story is progressing. Now, I have decided to abandon my POV, and I will be writing it from MC's POV. I feel that it's more immersive that way, here's is a chapter written in MCs POV, tell me If you find it better or worse.}

...

Now that everything at Hogwarts was finally settled, I sat alone in an empty compartment on the Hogwarts Express, watching the Scottish countryside blur past the window.

I was going though all my future plans which are the exact reasons I had gone through the absolute headache of securing that official leave of absence.

What was the plan that was so incredibly urgent?

It traced back to the Sorting Feast. Sitting at the Slytherin table, my enhanced physical senses had allowed me to pick up all the overlapping conversations across the Great Hall.

When I heard the derogatory slur 'Mudblood' tossed around so casually, it jarred something loose in my mind. It reminded me of a massive variable I had been neglecting the whole time.

And no, it wasn't out of some misplaced sense of sympathy. I simply don't view the power dynamic between wizards and Muggles the same way those arrogant purebloods do.

If anything, the wizarding world was in a steep, terminal decline before I pushed... that's me being modest. As the Architect, I literally carried their stagnant society kicking and screaming onto the path of progress.

Muggles, on the other hand, are progressing at an absolutely terrifying, exponential rate.

During the month I spent absorbing global news right after my past memories awakened, I gathered enough data to see the basic outline of the globe's current state.

In a few decades, the wizarding world would be in massive trouble.

Think about the scaling: A Muggle nuclear warhead can output the exact same destructive yield as a Tier 3 wizard.

But in the magical world, the birth of a Tier 3 powerhouse relies entirely on a genetic lottery, that might occur once a century, if at all.

Muggles?... they just need to rub a nuke out of their hands for instant Tier 3 damage.

Even the Arcane Network I created wasn't a wholly original concept; it was the architecture directly ripped from the Muggle internet, just optimized with magical protocols.

Granted, it was a vastly superior and flawless version, but that was heavily reliant on the System's processing power.

[Humm]

'Alright, alright, there's no need to get an inflated ego over a little praise.'

[...]

'Okay, fine. I admit you have the right to be inflated. Now, shush. Don't disturb my thought process.'

huh?... yeah, so the internet. Forums, chatrooms, encrypted emails, video games are all the things I found very interesting and fascinating.

And, for the world to progress, only the advancement of magical side won't be enough. I need to look into technology too, which is mostly unfamiliar to me.

But if the Architect could single-handedly carry the wizarding world into a new era... then Alister Potter was going to carry the Muggle world.

So, for the next month, I am leaving the magical world behind.

It is time to travel the globe laying foundation for what I've planned.

[And...]

'Yeah, fine, you got me,' I admitted silently. 'I was also kind of planning to actually see the world I'm fundamentally and truly connected to.'

'I've only really seen Paris since I came to this world.'

...

~Four Hours Later

I stepped quickly off the train and slipped seamlessly back through the barrier at Platform 9¾, emerging into the bustling mundane world of King's Cross Station.

It felt a bit absurd to be back here after spending exactly two days at Hogwarts, but who really cares?

The first thing I did after exiting the station was hail a cab. I told the driver to take me to the biggest shopping center in London, which he confidently claimed was Brent Cross.

Stepping through the glass doors marked the beginning of my shopping spree.

I still had plenty of Muggle currency left over from purchasing the house, and if I was going to be dealing with the corporate world, I needed to stop looking like a twelve-year-old child.

I grabbed a sleek overcoat and a pair of sharply tailored trousers that caught my eye, heading straight into a fitting room.

Once the door clicked shut, I triggered my Animagus transformation, but this time I suppressed the horns and stuffs, channeling the magic purely into altering my physical age and structure.

In seconds, my height shot up to an imposing six feet.

My frame broadened, filling out with the dense, heavily packed musculature of my upgraded Tier 2 physique, a build far beyond what any normal human could naturally achieve.

However, the moment I stepped back out of the fitting room, I instantly regretted not just brewing a standard Aging Potion.

Cause I was attracting way too much attention.

Every woman in the vicinity, even the married ones gripping their husbands' arms found themselves completely unable to look away after catching a single glimpse.

'Well, no use crying over spilled potion,' I sighed internally, ignoring the burning stares. 'I'm just going to have to get used to this.'

"E-Excuse me... can I be of any help, sir?" a saleswoman asked, practically materializing beside me with a deeply flushed face.

"Yeah. I want to buy the clothes I'm wearing right now," I replied smoothly.

"Of course, sir. Right this way... could you just come over to the register for a second?"

By the time the transaction was finished, I had politely but ruthlessly declined no less than half a dozen dinner invitations.

And the absolute worst part? As I navigated my way toward the exit, dodging the rejected women, I realized with a shudder that even a few of the men were starting to eye me up, visibly working up the courage to approach.

"Great, all I was missing in my life was getting my sexual orientation being questioned."
