Chapter 126 - 124.The Muladhara Trials: The Awakening of the Earth Guardian

The underground chamber glowed with a deep crimson radiance as the power of the Muladhara Chakra stabilized within Dilli. Ancient symbols carved into the stone walls shimmered like molten embers, while streams of energy coursed beneath the floor like invisible rivers. Dilli stood at the center of the chamber, rolling his shoulders as if nothing extraordinary had happened, though he could feel a tremendous surge of strength pulsing through every muscle. Nearby, Shakthi sat cross-legged on a stone platform, still recovering but refusing to miss the spectacle. Betal floated lazily in the air with a mischievous grin, while VEDA's golden holographic form flickered beside a massive ancient pillar.

"Now that the Muladhara Chakra is fully awakened," VEDA announced in its calm mechanical tone, "we must conduct performance evaluations."

Dilli groaned. "Why does every powerful transformation come with an exam?"

"Because destiny has standards," Betal replied.

"No," Dilli said. "Destiny is lazy. You made up the test."

Betal placed a hand over his heart dramatically. "Your accusations wound me."

"They should," Shakthi smirked. "You've been annoying everyone for several centuries."

The first test was strength. VEDA materialized an enormous boulder weighing several tons.

"Lift it."

Dilli shrugged and grabbed it. To everyone's surprise, he launched the boulder straight upward. The giant rock smashed through three layers of the cavern ceiling before disappearing into the sky.

The chamber fell silent.

Betal blinked.

VEDA recalculated seventeen times.

Shakthi slowly looked upward. "Well... somebody's going to have questions when a mountain starts raining rocks."

A few seconds later the boulder came crashing back down.

Dilli casually caught it with one hand.

Betal immediately pointed at him. "Absolutely not. Nobody gets that strong after one chakra."

VEDA's eyes flashed. "Correction. He does."

The second test involved speed. VEDA marked two pillars several kilometers apart.

"Touch both pillars and return."

Before anyone could blink, a gust of wind exploded through the chamber.

Dilli was suddenly standing exactly where he started.

"Done."

Shakthi frowned. "You moved?"

"I think so."

Betal looked at the dust swirling around them.

"Dilli, you ran so fast that time itself got confused."

"Good."

"No, not good."

The third test was endurance.

VEDA summoned ten stone guardians.

"Defeat them simultaneously."

The guardians charged.

Dilli stepped forward.

A loud boom echoed across the chamber.

The dust settled.

All ten guardians were lying in neat rows.

Betal floated closer and examined them.

"They are not destroyed."

"They surrendered," Dilli replied.

"Surrendered?"

"I politely asked them to lie down."

One guardian slowly raised its hand.

"He did."

Even VEDA paused for several seconds.

Shakthi burst into laughter.

"You bullied ancient magical constructs into submission."

The final test was conducted by Betal himself.

He conjured a terrifying illusion—a colossal dragon covered in black flames, its roar shaking the cavern.

Shakthi crossed her arms.

"That's your test?"

"It is a manifestation of primordial fear."

"It looks like an angry lizard."

The dragon immediately looked offended.

Betal ignored her and turned toward Dilli.

"Face your deepest fear."

Dilli stared at the monster.

The dragon roared.

Dilli stared harder.

The dragon's roar became less confident.

Finally Dilli spoke.

"Do you know how much food a creature your size would need every day?"

The dragon froze.

"You'd bankrupt entire kingdoms."

The dragon slowly lowered its head.

"I... had never considered that."

The illusion vanished.

Betal facepalmed.

"How did you psychologically defeat a fear manifestation?"

Dilli shrugged.

"I gave it financial anxiety."

Shakthi laughed so hard she nearly fell from the platform.

Even VEDA's voice carried the faintest hint of amusement.

"Assessment complete. Muladhara Chakra integration: one hundred percent successful."

The crimson energy around Dilli stabilized completely.

For a moment, all joking ceased.

The chamber itself seemed to recognize him. Ancient stones hummed with respect. The very earth beneath his feet resonated with his presence. He no longer merely stood upon the ground—he was connected to it. Unshakable. Immovable. Like a mountain given human form.

Betal smiled proudly.

VEDA observed silently.

Shakthi looked at Dilli with admiration shining in her eyes.

The tests had revealed something beyond strength, speed, or endurance. The awakened Muladhara Chakra had not only enhanced Dilli's power—it had amplified the unwavering determination that already existed within him. No matter what enemies awaited them, the foundation of their journey had become stronger than ever.

Unfortunately, that profound moment lasted only three seconds.

A massive boulder suddenly crashed through the ceiling.

Everyone looked up.

Dilli scratched the back of his head.

"Oh. I think that's the first rock I threw."

Betal sighed.

"Congratulations, Earth Guardian."

Shakthi grinned.

"You've officially become a public safety hazard."

And for the first time since awakening the Muladhara Chakra, the ancient chamber echoed with laughter.
