Qiao Rulong frowned slightly. He was, of course, very aware of who Wang Zeqiang was referring to. They walked over to the liquor cabinet, and Wang Zeqiang poured him a glass of whiskey.
Qiao Rulong took a sip and said, "Your dad has already made a promise. Let's leave it at that."
Wang Zeqiang asked, "Is he Mei Ru Xue's boyfriend?"
Upon hearing him mention his sister's name, Qiao Rulong felt a bit sensitive and said nonchalantly, "This has nothing to do with your cousin."
Wang Zeqiang scoffed, "I never considered her my cousin. If it weren't for her, my aunt wouldn't be so unfortunate."
Qiao Rulong put down his glass and said seriously, "Zeqiang, whether you admit it or not, Xiaoxue is my sister, my family, and I won't allow anyone to hurt her."
Wang Zeqiang's lips curled into a strange smile. "Cousin, don't worry. I won't hurt her, but I won't let that Xu guy off."
Qiao Rulong sighed, "Zeqiang, just let it go. Your uncle won't let you act recklessly."
