Got to say, Shen Yi's dad, Shen Tiancheng, really is a businessman. Even before Shen Yi became successful, he was already doing business in the county, and he's definitely out of the league of Su Qing's family.
After dropping that so-called elder stance, he found Su Qing much more pleasing to the eye, and they were even having a great conversation.
Su Qing, after all, had this narrative going on, so he knew what to say and what not to say, and he always picked topics Shen Tiancheng enjoyed.
His remarks, with high EQ, quickly made Shen Dad look at him anew. Even for someone who came to his house to claim his precious daughter—even wanting to take the whole pot—he became much more amiable.
"Come on, kid, eat more, there's nothing fancy, just homemade food!" Although Shen Mom said that modestly, there was pride on her face. Her cooking was quite superb, filling the table with a rich variety of dishes, both meat and vegetables, soup and entrees.
