"Are you pretending to be stupid?" Ian Grant sneered, his gaze dark and intense as he looked at Sienna Thornton. "Hand over the dowry the old woman gave you!"
Sienna Thornton simply watched her quietly.
Seeing this, Ian Grant shouted, "Don't think I don't know what patent rights the old woman gave you. Those things all belong to Mina! You, an illegitimate child, have no right to inherit! Give them all to me!"
Sienna Thornton heard this, but remained calm and unangered, retorting, "Are you not aware that children born out of wedlock have the same inheritance rights as legitimate ones? We are all descendants of the Thorne Family, so why can't I inherit my grandmother's estate?"
Ian had anticipated that Sienna would use the law to her advantage. She had come prepared with her responses, but at this moment, Sienna's confident and nonchalant demeanor provoked her.
Why should Sienna Thornton take so much that belonged to Mina, yet act as if it was rightfully hers?
