Sheng Yi wasn't planning to pick up Chi Yu's shoes and socks; she just suddenly noticed that Suisui was missing one shoe.
She called out to Chi Yu, "Wait, how come Suisui is missing a shoe?"
Chi Yu looked down.
Indeed, one shoe was missing.
He looked back at the field; it must have fallen off in the moment he picked Suisui up, without noticing. He glanced at Suisui's other foot, now covered in mud and indistinguishable in color, but you could make out roughly the shape of a little shoe.
Suisui shook her bare, dirty foot: "Chi Yu, no shoe."
Chi Yu held the dirty foot and checked carefully for scratches. Confirming there were none, he asked, "Why didn't you say something earlier?"
Suisui's cheeks puffed up a bit as she mumbled indistinctly, "I forgot earlier."
Chi Yu grumbled, "All you remember is playing."
"Hehe~"
And laughed again.
Such a carefree little one.
Always puts on a cute act when spoken to.
Laughs when scolded.
Is this child more like Yuanyuan or like him?
