Dao An responded with a quiet "Mm," his gaze directly bypassing Jane who was walking towards him and instead focusing on Gu Yuan sitting on the sofa.
"President Gu."
Jane was slightly startled, rarely hearing Ann speak Chinese. She obviously understood Chinese; Ann called that woman—President Gu?
Dao An walked towards Gu Yuan with a slightly apologetic tone: "Sorry for keeping you waiting, President Gu. Important meeting, had to attend it personally."
Gu Yuan did not feel it was a long wait; in contrast, Dao An had been waiting for her for quite some time. She had been here less than ten minutes.
Jane came over, puzzled by Ann's address and attitude towards this woman. However, she was not someone whose mind couldn't work things out. After a few exchanges and glances, it was clear. This was not the relationship she had thought; the other person was obviously someone Ann considered very important.
