In the courtyard, Shen Li was pitifully kneeling on the ground. On the lounge chair beside her, Hu Mei'Er, with her furry fox ears, lay quietly, holding an ancient book and studying it carefully.
Shen Li sneaked a glance at her and slightly bent her straight kneeling posture, wanting to sit her small bottom on her heels to relieve the pain in her knees.

A stream of light flew from Hu Mei'Er's hand and struck directly at her lower back, causing the little girl to grimace in pain, tears swirling in her beautiful eyes.

A lazy voice came over. Upon hearing it, Shen Li immediately held back the tears in her eyes out of fright.
