At the bottom of the staircase, Summer Lowell stopped, and as if guided by some unseen force, turned back to glance at the study on the second floor. Just as she turned, she saw Assistant Collins's figure entering the room.
This scene was also observed by the group monitoring from the attic on the top floor.
Section Chief Grant took out his phone and sent a message.
In the study, Maxim Sinclair looked at the just-received message and raised his head to ask Assistant Collins, "Did you run into my wife just now?"
Assistant Collins nodded, "The lady was holding a cup, looking sleepy. Probably woke up thirsty, going downstairs for a drink."
"It's only nine thirty, she shouldn't be sleeping so early. Normally, she'd be watching a movie or reading at this time," Maxim gently tapped the document in front of him, looked at Assistant Collins with a smile after a moment, "Bored? Let's make a bet; I bet she'll come in later."
