Maxim Sinclair looked at the nearly frantic Justin Huxley, not daring to provoke him, and for once, his tone carried a hint of plea: "Whatever demands you have, just speak up. As long as you don't harm Summer Lowell—she used to respect you so much. Will you let her go? If you have anything against someone, direct it at me instead."
"Stop acting like a hero saving the damsel in distress in front of me. I hate the way you don't have to do anything, yet there are crowds of people eager to help you!"
The more Justin shouted, the more hysterical he became, causing Summer, whom he held hostage, to tremble with fear.
After Justin finished shouting and saw that Maxim indeed had no intention of advancing further, he sneered with satisfaction: "Want to save Summer, huh? All right, as long as you please me, I'll give her back to you."
"What exactly do you want?"
"It's simple, why don't you stab yourself seven times to show me your sincerity."
