Her tone was so certain that it made Maxim Sinclair quite unhappy.
"I've been annoyed with Justin Huxley for a long time now," Maxim revealed his dislike without any cover.
Summer Lowell didn't want to discuss Justin Huxley with him, so she reiterated the previous topic: "You still haven't answered me. Can you help me find out about my birth parents?"
"I looked into it a long time ago," Maxim Sinclair remained silent for a moment, considering whether to tell Summer the truth or not. "I found nothing. When you were adopted, the information from the orphanage was that you were an orphan."
The light in Summer Lowell's eyes dimmed again: "Are you sure this is true?"
She still seemed to hold onto hope.
Maxim Sinclair really couldn't bear to tell her that she was abandoned because that couple was too superstitious, believing some nonsense that Summer was born to bring them misfortune.
And so they abandoned Summer.
The truth, if revealed, would undoubtedly make Summer sad.
