The guard on duty today was sweating profusely.
The chief did indeed say that the old chief needed to rest quietly, and no one was to disturb him.
But when Miss Grant came up, she insisted on entering the old chief's ward and even startled him. After that, he called her in, and there was nothing they could do.
But they had no way to explain these things, ultimately it was their negligence.
"You two don't need to come tomorrow," Nathan Foster said calmly.
"Yes."
Fiona Grant was a bit lost in thought at this time, not sure what she was thinking.
When Nathan Foster walked in, Fiona Grant stood up, went to him, and said in a gentle and obedient way, impossible to refuse:
"Uncle, I'm Fiona. It wasn't their fault just now. It's my fault. I insisted on seeing Grandpa. Don't implicate others because of me, or I'll feel guilty."
South Grant quietly watched from the side.
