South Grant's words left Chester Lynch puzzled, "What do you mean by the timing being off? Clearly, we're in the prime of our youth. How could the timing be wrong?"
Chester Lynch is usually easygoing and doesn't fuss much over things.
But on this matter today, Chester Lynch was very stubborn.
He didn't care about South Grant's rejection, he just wanted a clear answer.
South Grant had made many excuses to reject Chester, but it seemed like Chester never gave up.
"The timing is just off, it really is. You said we're young, and if we're still young, we're not yet settled. From the first year of high school to the third year, I had a crush on you for three years without any response, and naturally, the feeling just faded."
At this point, South Grant took Chester's hand off her shoulder.
After taking a couple of steps forward, South Grant turned her head slightly and said in a low voice:
"Even if the feeling is gone, I still consider you my best friend."
