Thea Lynch was cautious this time. She opened it and glanced inside to make sure it was for her aunt before accepting it.
"Okay, I'll take it to Auntie when I go back on Saturday."
There was no other way; the security at the compound was indeed strict. It's just a favor, nothing more.
"Thanks for the trouble."
"No problem." Thea Lynch had a headache; her tone was much more rigid than usual, making it hard to continue the conversation.
Norbert Rhodes noticed it and asked cautiously, "Are you... coming down with a cold? Your voice sounds a bit severe."
Thea Lynch nodded, "I'm not feeling well, I'm heading back."
"Let me take you home."
Seeing her walking unsteadily, Norbert hesitated but caught up with her.
Thea instinctively wanted to refuse. Norbert spoke before she could, "I'll just accompany you to the neighborhood; you can pretend I'm not there."
"..." Thea Lynch didn't speak again.
