"Otherwise, why don't you wait and finish making the medicine before going in? I'll go in and take a look first."

When Melody Thorne went in, her father had a vacant stare. He originally thought Mrs. Thorne was dead and that he would spend his entire life in the dimly lit casino, despised by all. Yet, he never imagined he would actually get out.
He always thought the person he believed to be dead was actually alive, along with his daughter and son.
"Dad," Melody Thorne sat across from her father, "can you tell me what happened back then?"
Who turned him into this state? Melody Thorne wanted revenge, wanted to exact harsh vengeance on those who made her father like this.
"I thought she was dead," her father painfully began, "She thought I had another woman, and even a child with that woman."
So, they argued while driving, both thinking the other was dead.
