Melody's fingers moved a few times on the computer and deleted the information she had just received.
The study door was pushed open, and Jared entered holding a glass of refreshing red wine. He saw Melody sitting in his chair looking like a well-behaved child.
"Why aren't you asleep?" Jared walked in, put the wine on the table, and lifted her onto his lap with his strong, slender arms.
"I can't sleep," Melody murmured, her arms draped around his neck.
"Because of today?" Jared seemed to have already guessed, his handsome features close to her face. "Isn't being my legitimate wife good?"
"No," Melody frowned, taking out her phone to show him the online gossip. "At first, they all speculated I was Timmy's biological mother, then they outright claimed I was your mistress."
Jared: "..."
His gaze shifted to the comments below the photos; indeed, they were all discussing Melody being a kept woman.
