"Let Leon Rivers visit the hospital tomorrow," Jared Quinn suddenly agreed.
"Really?" Melody Thorne looked at him skeptically.
"If you keep looking at me with that suspicious expression, you'll pay for it later!" Jared Quinn warned viciously.
"Got it, got it," Melody Thorne lifted the corners of her lips and leaned up to kiss Jared Quinn's cheek.
As she turned, Jared Quinn pressed lightly against her, as if he were entirely at her mercy, feeling the heat rising with no way to extinguish it, while Melody Thorne remained completely at ease.
"You feel awful now, don't you?" Melody Thorne playfully extended her small hand, feeling quite pleased with her own moral standing at the moment.
Jared Quinn tightened his lips; having her was better than having nowhere to dampen the flames.
