Elias Hale stared out the window, "There is a way, though it's not foolproof. It involves deep hypnosis to recover memories, but are you sure you're this desperate?"
"Of course I'm desperate. Where are you? I'll come find you right now." Melody Thorne glanced at the car's rearview mirror, realizing a car had been following her.
"I'm at the hotel. In a few days, I might have to return to Zetania."
"Elias Hale, someone's following me," Melody Thorne spoke up, "A car."
"Which road are you on?"
"I'll send you my location." Melody Thorne shared her current location and put down her phone. Cars were flanking her on both sides from the lane.
Melody Thorne intentionally swerved towards one car, nearly colliding before narrowly scraping by, forcing the other vehicle to stop, allowing her to take control of the road.
The car behind persisted, and before long, she found herself in a secluded area with barren mountains on both sides, and the road ahead led nowhere.
