Chapter 147: Damages [10/10]
Leo watched as Niri's [Solar Beam] descended upon the metal demon.
He half expected the attack to reflect harmlessly off the demon's metallic body, for the radiant energy to simply skid away without affecting it in the slightest.
Instead, he noticed something that made his brows knit together—the demon looked terrified.
His entire body had stiffened, and his furious shout cut short the moment he saw the beam closing in.
Based on everything Leo had observed so far—especially after striking the demon himself—its body should have been far too durable for [Solar Beam] to inflict any meaningful damage. At least, that was what logic suggested.
Yet what happened the very next moment left his mouth hanging open.
The beam punched straight through the demon's midsection, searing through metal and flesh alike. The abdomen vanished instantly, completely incinerated. The edges of the wound glowed red-hot for a split second before crumbling into ash.
