Chapter 184: Rescue
Before anyone could react, the girl suddenly reached for Leo's arm.
Lily flinched and instinctively stepped forward, but before she could do anything, Leo reacted first.
He calmly took a step back, slipping out of the girl's grasp entirely.
"Whatever it is," he said evenly, "you can talk from there."
"H-huh? Y-yes… yes."
Startled, the girl quickly withdrew her hand and retreated a few steps, putting a respectful distance between them.
Only then did Leo and the others get a proper look at her.
She had light-blue hair that shimmered softly beneath the academy lights and crystal-blue eyes that were slightly red and swollen, as though she had been crying for quite some time. A matching blue dress clung to her slender figure, accentuating her curves, while a badge pinned to her chest displayed the number 1, marking her as a fresher just like them.
