Chapter 38 - Elyse the wolf king: The consort's lesson

The moon hung low over Ravenshall Keep, casting silver patterns across the corridors. Jafar the III moved quietly through the night, cloaked and careful, heading to see Daisy, the princess of another kingdom. His heart weighed heavy—he was married, a consort, and stepping beyond his bounds could spark disaster. Yet she had insisted, threatened to come to the Wolf King herself, and Jafar knew reasoning with her was futile.

Unbeknownst to him, Elyse Wolf was already aware. Not just aware—she had been watching. Every letter he had sent, every trace of his hesitation, had ended in her hands. The last one lay freshly opened, her sharp eyes scanning the words with ice-cold precision. Her mischievous smile remained, but her gaze… her gaze was now a pair of glowing dark pools, predator-like, unyielding, and devoid of mercy.

By the time Jafar returned, night had deepened. He entered Ravenshall Keep, unsuspecting of the storm that awaited him. The door to their private chambers closed behind him with a soft click. Elyse stepped out from the shadows, her presence overwhelming.

"Walking into danger so carelessly, Jafar," she said, voice calm but laced with ice. "Do you even understand the risk you bring?"

He swallowed, stiff and tense. "I—"

"Don't speak," she cut him off. Her hand rested on the edge of the table, and in an instant, the room seemed smaller, charged with her authority. Every instinct he had told him to back away, yet he could not. She was everywhere at once—towering, commanding, untouchable.

---

Elyse approached him, slow and deliberate, each step reminding Jafar of the consequences of defiance. She spoke softly, yet every word carried the weight of command.

"You think letters can sway me? That secrets will shield you?" Her eyes glimmered dangerously. "I am Elyse Wolf. The Wolf King. And you… you are mine."

Jafar's calm composure cracked slightly under her intensity. His body tensed as she guided him to stand, her hands firm but precise, demonstrating the full measure of her dominance without a word of overt aggression. Every movement she made reminded him: he was beneath her, even when he had believed himself strong.

She circled him, her presence predatory, eyes never leaving his. She lifted his chin with one hand, forcing him to meet her gaze. The letters in her hand—his missteps made tangible—seemed to glow in the dim candlelight.

"Do you understand the danger you've brought into this room?" she whispered, her voice low, commanding, and intimate.

Jafar nodded, trembling, caught between fear, awe, and the undeniable pull of her presence. He could feel the full weight of her authority pressing against him—physical, mental, emotional.

---

Hours passed in silence, in controlled chaos. Elyse moved with the precision of a predator, switching their positions, testing his limits, and holding him completely under her command. She never raised her voice, yet every glance, every gesture, reminded him of her supremacy.

Jafar's attempts to assert control, to resist, were met with her unshakable authority. He could not fight back. Every time he tried, she shifted, corrected, and reminded him: he was beneath her, in her world.

And yet, through the storm of power and tension, something else emerged. He realized that pleasure, awe, and surrender could exist even under domination. The very control she wielded, the very intensity of her punishment, created a bond he could not resist—a craving for her, for her authority, for the wolf who ruled every corner of his mind.

By the end of the night, Jafar knelt, exhausted and trembling, but transformed. His calm, measured self was shattered, replaced by a deep recognition of Elyse's power, her brilliance, and the intoxicating pull of complete surrender.

When she finally left the room, she did so with her mischievous smile restored, leaving him in the quiet aftermath of awe, respect, and yearning. The room itself bore witness to her storm: overturned furniture, scattered papers, and the intangible echo of a ruler asserting her full dominion.
