These giant bats could carry a full combat team of five to eight people on their backs, leveraging the bat's large size to have a significant aerial advantage against the Puki.
Even though Will and his team repeatedly resurrected, all they could do was hold back these bats, consistently being on the defensive.
However, the cost of raising and contracting these bats is extremely high. Even someone like Duke Eugene only has less than a hundred, with just about forty accompanying him.

Seeing their endless numbers, Eugene couldn't believe these things were worth much.
