Suzy's stitches just got removed. She was able to sit on her own, now. She was flipping through a magazine when the creak of the door dragged her attention towards Jihoon.
"Ms.Yeon is discharged," Suzy said, shifting back to the magazine. Jihoon strolled towards her bed,
"Who said I am here for her?" Jihoon said, casually picking up an apple from the basket on the side table. Suzy placed down the magazine and glanced at him.
"Are you here to steal a patient's fruit?" She rolled up her eyes, but her heart skipped a beat when Jihoon abruptly moved closer to her, so close that she could smell his faint rosy scent.
"I am here for you," Jihoon said softly, a teasing smile playing on his lips.
"W...What?" Suzy stammered. Maybe because of weakness or because of him. Jihoon chuckled, moving back, "Yeah, I got complaints about you." he stood near the window and turned to her. "You treated hospital staff rudely. Never smiled, and got abandoned."
Suzy sighed in disbelief. "Care about yourself first." She pointed at Jihoon's hand, "Again tried to become a hero?" she asked.
Jihoon turned his back to her. He looked outside through the glass and sighed. Maybe the recalled afternoon incident or his mother.
"Are you ok?" Jihoon's silence made Suzy uneasy.
Jihoon swirled, "Finally, you realized that I am a hero." he dramatically flipped his non-existent hair.
"You!" Suzy threw a pillow at him; at this time, he wasn't able to dodge.
At Kim's Mansion, 8:59 p.m.
Seo-Yeon strolled down the stairs and moved towards the hallway,
"Pa!" She exclaimed and hugged Mr.Park. He caressed Seo-Yeon's hair, "How's my princess?" his tone was warm and polite.
"Two hundred percent good," Seo-Yeon replied with a wide smile.
Seo-Yeon had never known who her father was. Not a picture nor a name, there was nothing in her life. Since childhood, Mr. Park was beloved Pa as he was for Ji Min. He also loves Seo-Yeon more than Ji Min.
"It's good you are here. I have some good news for you." Mr. Park said, adjusting on the sofa. Seo-Yeon also took a seat beside Ji Min, "What is it, Pa?" She asked.
"We have fixed the marriage date of Ji Min and Yoo Han." Mr. Park replied.
Seo-Yeon's eyes lit up, "What, really?" She glanced at Ji Min, "When will it be?"
Kim Rahae chuckled at her reaction, "It looks like your marriage date got fixed," she said mockingly.
"Eoma," she pouted.
"It'll be on the 8th of April." Mr. Park said.
Seo-Yeon stood abruptly and pulled Ji Min in a tight hug, "You know, I am really happy for you."
Ji Min just nodded in reply. Even though it was the happiest moment she had always wished for, something was still missing. Maybe love. Her gaze drifted upwards, where Yoo Han was quietly stepping back to his room after hearing this news. A tear escaped, unknowingly.
"Hey, why are you crying?" Seo-Yeon caressed her back. Ji Min wiped off her tears,
"It's because I am too happy," she forced a smile.
A month passed like nothing in Paris.
Kim Rahae met her childhood friend, Shin, in a cafe. Compared to Kim Rahae, she looks a bit older, but the way she dresses shouts her elegance.
"I thought we'd never meet again after what happened." Kim Rahae said politely.
"Every time I gathered courage to come," Shin sighed, "something stopped me." Kim Rahae smiled faintly, "Your family?" she asked. Shin chukled in reply, "Family brings me here today." Kim Rahae frowned.
"I want to end the loop." Shin grabbed Kim Rahae's hand gently, "I want your daughter to marry my son, J." Kim Rahae slowly pulled her hand back.
"My kids know nothing about what happened years ago." She sighed, "And I'll never let them know until I am alive." Shin closed her eyes, "That's why I proposed marriage." She locked eyes with Rahae, "I want to shut it down, before J drags all of us into this mess again."
While in Korea, Suzy once again was by seo yeon side. From Kim enterprises to Jeon Empire, outdoor meetings, and Aurora construction site visits packed up seo yeon's days. Seo-Yeon and Jeon-Woo were buried in files when the door thud opened.
"Ms. Yeon," Suzy had recovered, but her leg was not fully healed. She bent down a little, huffing. Seo-Yeon's eyes widened as she ran towards Suzy.
"Ms.Yeon... Mr. Min Jae was found dead on a construction site. And..." Suzy hesitated, glanced at Jeon-Woo, who stood up abruptly.
"And, what?" he asked in a cold voice.
Suzy straightened herself up. "And, Mr. Dong-hyun isn't found anywhere..., and the ledgers are missing, too."
