Liam yawned.
Wide. Long. The kind that made his jaw crack and his eyes water.
He dragged his hand down his face, blinking hard against the sunlight coming through his window.
Because he hadn't slept. Not really.
Maybe two hours total. And even those two hours had been restless. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw her. Auburn hair catching the light. White crop top. High-waisted jeans. That smile. The way she'd looked at him without saying a word.
And the number that should have been there but wasn't.
He'd tried to find her after the game ended. Walked through Drew's entire house. Checked the living room. The kitchen. Upstairs.
Asked a few people if they'd seen a girl with auburn hair and a white top. No one had. She was just gone. And so was the guy she'd been with. Like they'd never been there at all.
It didn't make sense.
