Chapter 305 - Chapter 304 Tell me, does God feel pain?

I was born a warrior.

I was trained from a young age, only to walk onto the battlefield.

For a mission of peace, I left my island.

I am not fond of peace; I just have a strange affection for humanity.

The journey to the Underworld made me realize clearly that I love humanity, and even more, I love their progress.

But incompetent leaders will only lead people astray.

Boom!

Wonder Woman's figure transformed into a streak of light, crashing into an airplane.

The fighter jet, unable to dodge in time, had one of its wings sliced off by her Vulcan Sword.

Amidst the thunderous explosion and a sky full of flames, the fighter jet plummeted straight down from the sky.

In the pure white clouds, the sun's golden rays from the horizon shone upon Diana's body.

Wearing her red and gold battle suit, her eyes showed a determined gaze, and her figure turned into a lightning bolt, continuing to contend with the fighter jets above the clouds.

Bang!

"Ugh, ahhh!"

The roaring Wonder Woman instantly moved above a fighter jet, striking down vertically.

Accompanied by a violent explosion, the plane was instantly cut in half.

The pilot in the falling cockpit immediately jumped out of the aircraft, descending with a parachute.

She did not pursue the parachuting pilot but instead showed a determined look in her eyes, continuing to attack the other fighter jets.

In just a moment, all the fighter jets were annihilated by Wonder Woman as if she were slicing melons and dicing vegetables.

Bang!

Descending from high altitude, Diana landed in a half-crouch, her left leg slightly bent, and her Vulcan Sword diagonally plunged into the ground.

"You just cut a fighter jet in half!"

A slow yet familiar voice came from behind her.

Wonder Woman paused, then stood up and looked back.

"Ares?"

Standing before her was indeed the God of War, Ares.

Ares, born to Zeus, King of the Gods, and Hera, Queen of the Heavens, is the God of War in Greek mythology, one of the twelve Olympian deities, and Wonder Woman's half-brother.

He often takes on human form to incite wars among humans, as the conflicts in the human world are the source of his power; the more wars there are, the stronger Ares becomes.

Looking at Ares, the God of War, whose entire body was hidden by black armor, Wonder Woman, her former enemy, became vigilant.

"You, as the envoy of Paradise Island, today used your sword against humans!"

The voice came from Ares's armor, making Wonder Woman feel as if it emanated from a distant hell.

"Sometimes peace requires force to achieve."

Diana gripped her Vulcan Sword tightly.

"Of course."

Ares nodded, indicating agreement.

"What brings you here, Ares!"

Diana asked him.

"For now, I just want to watch you fight!"

Ares said, "I have witnessed every war on this planet, but a battle between a meta-human and a mortal, well, that's truly rare!"

"If peace can be stopped by war, then I will not mind using battle as a means to achieve peace!"

"So you are now fighting alongside Homelander; do you believe he is correct?"

Ares asked Diana.

"I believe so!"

Diana turned around, facing the tank approaching her.

She crossed her arms over her chest, deflecting the incoming cannon fire, then charged forward, instantly using her Vulcan Sword to slice off the tank's treads.

"Leave here, lay down your weapons, or your fate will be the same as this steel!"

Diana said to the stunned soldiers.

After defeating the ground forces, Diana turned to face Ares.

"The war will end very soon; you will no longer have a place to exist, Ares!"

"I look forward to it, but right now I only care about one question: will you share a bed with him?"

Diana did not answer directly but instead glanced at him, "He is the person who has made me most resolute in my life; if I can, I am willing to become anyone he needs!"

"You fear our union, don't you? What else could interest the mighty God of War!"

Wonder Woman's gaze sharpened, and she pointed a finger at Ares, "Your intuition about fear is correct; you fear Homelander because you believe he will succeed. In a world without war, what will the God of War become?

Or you could become another god, but no longer so violent!"

A faint smile appeared on Wonder Woman's lips, and she sneered at Ares, taunting, "Say it with me, 'I am the fearsome Ares, God of Ponies'!"

Blood-red light shot from Ares's eyes within his helmet, "Do not—be so disrespectful to me!"

He instantly moved beside Wonder Woman, reaching out to grab her left hand, threatening her.

"You know I prefer words over violence, so I warn you to take your hand off, if you want to keep it."

Diana said to him impolitely.

But no sooner had she spoken than Ares grabbed Diana's other hand, which held the Vulcan Sword, "Don't even think of threatening me, Daughter of Paradise Island; look at the battlefield around you, look at the destruction and ruins of these wars; this is the source of my power! If you want to continue standing with Homelander, I will annihilate you right now!"

Ares exerted force in his hand, slamming her heavily to the ground.

"This is easy for me; even if Zeus were here, he would not dare to contend with me. Here, my power surpasses any other time; your power is like an ant in my eyes."

Bang!

No sooner had Ares finished speaking than a heavy blow landed on the back of his helmet.

A vast force struck the helmet, and the horn on the left side of the helmet shattered under a fist.

Feeling a sharp pain, Ares staggered forward.

Immediately after, Eric's fist, like a star, struck his back.

With a bang, Ares fell heavily to the ground.

A deep crater was blasted into the ground, and countless dust clouds rose from the pit.

The ground trembled slightly, and cracks emanating from the crater continuously extended outwards.

Ares, lying at the bottom of the pit, raised his head and looked at the person who had attacked him.

He found that the person standing above the pit was Eric!

"How… how is this possible?"

Ares uttered a voice of disbelief.

He never imagined that the other party's power would give him such an absolute advantage.

Enduring the pain, Ares stood up from the bottom of the pit and launched an attack at Eric with hatred.

His metal-clad fist turned into a streak of light, striking towards Eric, and his body also rushed towards Eric at high speed.

After Eric dodged, he grabbed the other party's fist, and his right hand delivered a straight punch towards the other party's metal-clad head.

With a bang, the God of War was struck again by Eric and moved backward.

Before he could fall to the ground, Eric's Heat Vision shot out, striking his body with a bang.

Falling to the ground again, he struggled to open his eyes and saw the sunlight above him blocked as Eric's expressionless figure appeared overhead.

Bang!

Both feet struck down fiercely from high altitude, aiming for Ares's chest.

Ares dodged Eric's downward attack, evading to Eric's back, and reached out to grab Eric.

But Eric easily dodged!

However, his fist also landed on Eric's chest.

Bang!

After being struck, Eric grabbed Ares's arm and swung his elbow back, striking the other horn on Ares's helmet.

Crack!

The only remaining horn on Ares's helmet was directly broken off by Eric.

With a bang, Ares was knocked to the ground.

The immense impact plowed him along the ground.

Bang!

Eric's feet landed in front of Ares, and he looked at him coldly, saying, "It would be easy for me to kill you now!"

Seeing Ares knocked down by Eric, Diana, who had been suppressed earlier, roared and charged out, holding her Vulcan Sword.

Facing the furiously charging Diana, Ares only managed to extend his right arm to block before his right hand was severed by Diana's Vulcan Sword.

His wrist was cut off, blood spurted out, and Ares let out a scream.

"Ah, ah, ah, ah!!"

Diana, holding the Vulcan Sword and breathing heavily, said coldly, "I warned you, watch your hand!"

"I swear, when your child is born, Amazon, I will take his life!"

Ares, the God of War, cursed Wonder Woman.

"I'm afraid you won't live to see that day!"

Eric shook his head, and his eyes emitted Heat Vision, firing at the maximum power towards the other party's chest.

Sizzle!

The Heat Vision instantly pierced Ares's chest.

Blood spurted from his chest, and Ares, who had been cursing Eric and Diana, immediately stopped his curses.

The once invincible God of War died so miserably, without even putting up a strong resistance in the end.

Wonder Woman, seeing Eric's gaze fixed on Ares, proactively explained to him, "Ares will not die so easily, because gods do not die; they only fade away with the wind."

"Let's go!"

Diana took a deep breath and extended her hand to Eric, "All conflicts will end soon. Once the world achieves peace, that will be the time for the God of War to fade."

"Is that so?!"

Eric pondered for a moment, looking at Ares lying in a pool of blood, "Then, Diana, do gods feel pain?"

"Not like mortals, but when your Heat Vision, like a sharp sword, pierces through his spine and pins him, it's not just the body that stings!"

Diana replied to Eric.

"Then he is not a true god!"

Eric shook his head and turned to leave.

Diana immediately followed his footsteps.

Ares, lying on the ground, was not dead, but he was close. Opening his eyes and looking at the blood flowing from his body, he weakly stretched his arm but found he had no strength left at all.

If he hadn't been ambushed, he wouldn't have suffered such a miserable defeat, he thought to himself.

As his consciousness gradually faded, he let out his last breath, muttering, "Was he really a pony?"
