Looking for Gaara?
Ebizō looked at Granny Chiyo walking away in a certain direction, a flash of puzzlement crossing his eyes.
This didn't seem to have much to do with the question he had just asked.
Although Ebizō had just asked about Chiyo's attitude if Iwagakure or Kumogakure were to send people, in his heart, he already had the answer.
He knew his sister's thoughts better than anyone else.
No matter how strong Konoha appeared to be, with Chiyo's personality, she probably wouldn't soften her stance.
After all, there was deep hatred between Granny Chiyo and Konoha. Cooperating with Iwagakure and Kumogakure could be said to be the most secure option at the moment.
Ebizō watched Chiyo's figure gradually disappear from his field of vision, unable to resist narrowing his eyes slightly.
"It seems sister has other ideas."
Ebizō clasped his hands behind his back and walked slowly forward, speaking to himself.
Kirigakure.
Mizukage's Office.
"Lord Yuto, our people have been keeping an eye on Konoha during this time. Konoha has been making frequent small moves."
Mei Terumi frowned as she spoke softly to Yuto, who was sitting on the sofa to the side.
"The Anbu intercepted an intelligence report Konoha sent to a small ninja village. It contains some important information about you and Uchiha Madara, Lord Yuto. Would you like to take a look?"
Seeing Yuto's expression of complete indifference, Mei Terumi couldn't help but massage her forehead.
"Some things I guessed long ago; why be so nervous?"
"No need to look. I already knew about it when I was in Takigakure."
Yuto waved his hand, wearing a casual expression.
So what if they knew about his and Uchiha Madara's abilities? Once strength reached their level, any strategy or scheming was useless.
Without someone of equal combat strength to hold them back, so-called intelligence was meaningless.
The people of Konoha had certainly calculated well.
Hashirama Senju might have simply wanted to inform the entire ninja world about the news of their resurrection, causing everyone to be on guard.
But the others in Konoha wouldn't do things so simply. This was evident from the fact that the intelligence only contained detailed information about Yuto and Uchiha Madara.
Konoha's people had probably harbored quite a few ulterior motives.
Although he didn't want to admit it, Yuto had to acknowledge one point: neither he nor Uchiha Madara possessed a reputation in the ninja world comparable to Hashirama Senju.
After all, the title "God of Shinobi" wasn't just describing Hashirama Senju's immense strength; it also carried a meaning of respect.
People like Yuto and Uchiha Madara were likely synonymous with evil.
Konoha hadn't sent out so many copies of the intelligence for nothing. Danzo, Homura Mitokado, and Koharu Utatane—these three were certainly not easy to deal with.
Yuto closed his eyes and rubbed his temples. After thinking for a moment, he roughly figured out what Konoha wanted to do next.
Konoha was expressing goodwill to everyone except Yuto and Uchiha Madara.
Then, borrowing Hashirama Senju's prestige, they intended to unite all the ninja villages, excluding Kirigakure, to deal with Yuto and Uchiha Madara.
Just like when Yuto united the four great ninja villages to attack Konoha.
Thinking of this, the corner of Yuto's mouth couldn't help but curl up. This was Konoha's revenge!
Although this goal sounded simple, it was very difficult to achieve. Especially after being tricked by Yuto once, the other ninja villages probably wouldn't trust Konoha so easily.
However, given the methods of those three like Danzo, there would probably be a series of moves next.
This was likely what Mei Terumi was truly worried about. If Konoha really achieved all this, then Kirigakure would indeed be in significant trouble.
"Rest assured. Without visible benefits, the other ninja villages might not necessarily help Konoha."
Yuto opened his eyes to look at Mei Terumi, speaking with a faint smile.
This time was different from before. When the four great ninja villages allied to attack Konoha, Yuto was hiding in the shadows, and many of the benefits were visible.
To put it simply, the potential gains far outweighed the risks, enough to make anyone tempted.
But the current situation in the ninja world was much more complex than it was then.
Hearing Yuto's casual laughter, the frown on Mei Terumi's brows smoothed out, and she nodded gently.
"Lord Yuto, it seems the trip to Takigakure yielded quite a harvest?"
Curiosity appeared on Mei Terumi's face as she looked at Yuto.
"There was indeed an unexpected surprise, and I even met Uchiha Madara."
Recalling the remnant branch of the God Tree, a smile surfaced on Yuto's face.
Uchiha Madara!
Hearing this name, Mei Terumi's face immediately revealed a look of tension: "Why would Uchiha Madara appear there?"
"It's not strange that he appeared there."
Yuto replied casually. He didn't intend to tell Mei Terumi about the Tailed Beasts.
Without a certain level of strength, it was better not to know about some things.
Hearing Yuto's words, Mei Terumi froze for a moment. The words she originally wanted to say were swallowed back down.
Clap! Clap!
Yuto clapped his hands lightly.
The next moment, two Kirigakure Anbu members flashed into the Mizukage's Office from outside.
"Call Ranmaru and Ringo Ameyuri over."
Yuto spoke softly to the two Anbu members.
"Yes!"
"Yes!"
The two Anbu members nodded respectfully and vanished in a flash.
"Lord Yuto, what are you planning to do?"
Glancing at the two vanished Anbu members, Mei Terumi turned her head just in time to see a strange smile on Yuto's face.
For some reason, seeing Yuto's smile, Mei Terumi suddenly had an illusion that Lord Yuto seemed to be up to something again.
"Since the people of Konoha are spreading my intelligence, I naturally have to trick them in return. That's only fair."
Yuto wore a faint smile, looking righteous and solemn.
Mei Terumi's eyelid twitched, a strange expression on her face.
Not long after, a knock sounded at the door.
Mei Terumi cleared her throat lightly and spoke toward the door of the Mizukage's Office:
"Come in."
Click!
The office door opened, and Ringo Ameyuri and Ranmaru walked in with puzzled expressions on their faces.
"Lord Yuto! Lord Mizukage!"
Ringo Ameyuri and Ranmaru spoke respectfully at the same time.
"Lord Yuto, is there something you need?"
Ringo Ameyuri's face was full of respect as she looked at Yuto.
Ranmaru, standing to the side, also blinked his big eyes, looking at Yuto.
If Mei Terumi weren't present now, Ranmaru would probably have run over by now.
"Go help me pick up a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen."
Yuto looked at the two with a smile.
A member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen?
Hearing Yuto's words, puzzled expressions appeared on the faces of everyone present.
"That's right, a candidate for the Nuibari."
Yuto reached out to grab a scroll from nearby and gave it a light tap. The Nuibari appeared in Yuto's hand.
With a flick of his wrist, Yuto sent the Nuibari flying toward Ringo Ameyuri.
Ringo Ameyuri caught the ninja sword, confusion still in her eyes. This was the only one of the seven swords without a wielder at present.
"This person is currently in Konoha. Ranmaru, you should have seen him—he's that kid who claims not to believe in fate."
"The two of you make a trip. Just wait on the outskirts of Konoha. He will come find you himself."
Yuto wore a brilliant smile as he spoke softly.
