Chapter 141: Unknown Princess 2
Now Ank entered the cave and looked at Maya's unconscious body laying on the ground.
And for a brief moment Ank only watched Maya from afar .Thinking how she risked her life to protect him .
He moved closer towards Maya, each step creating a space for maya in his heart, and when he finally stood beside her.
He lowered his gaze and saw her face clearly, her orange hair still shining faintly even in the dim light of the cave.
Her face did not lose its brightness even in this state, and in that moment his heart tightened inside his body, not out of fear, but out of something deeper, something that he himself did not want to acknowledge.
And finally Maya created a space inside Ank heart.
"Maya… wait for me," Ank whispered softly, his voice carrying a quiet determination like he did not want to lose Maya again .
"I will save you," he added, as if making a promise not just to her, but to himself.
And just as he was about to leave the cave with Maya.
A voice suddenly echoed inside his mind, sharp and cold, full of hatred and agony.
"Ank I will never forgive you, I will kill you."
The moment those words entered his mind, a chill ran down his spine, not because of fear, but because of recognition.
Because he knew that voice, he knew its tone, its weight, its hatred, and yet he could not remember her face.
No matter how much he tried, no matter how much his mind struggled to recall it, the image remained blank, leaving only the echo of her voice behind.
He clenched his teeth slightly, forcing himself to stay focused, because this was not the time to get lost in something he could not understand yet.
And slowly his gaze shifted, moving away from Maya and toward another figure lying at some distance from her, a figure he had not noticed before, but one that now felt impossible to ignore.
He did not know why.
He did not understand how.
But something inside him was telling him to save her, not as an order, not as a command but as if it was something he owed, something he had forgotten but was still tied to.
So he moved toward her.
Slowly.
Without hesitation.
And before he even realized it, his hand lifted on its own, reaching toward her face, his fingers brushing lightly against her skin.
And in that instant.
Everything changed.
A wave of immense pain and hatred surged through him, so sudden and overwhelming that his entire body tensed.
So much pain and hatred that he cannot put into words.
He cannot understand why something like that came directly from her, directed either toward him or toward the entire world, he could not tell.
But he knew this feeling.
He had felt it before.
He had lived it before.
And that familiarity made it even heavier.
Without wasting another second, Ank quickly lifted her into a princess carry, his movements firm despite the weight of what he had just felt.
And then he turned back toward Maya, placing one hand gently on her as well, his expression now completely focused.
In the next moment, space itself seemed to bend around them.
And they disappeared.
Reappearing in a small, empty village far away from the stone plant army, a place quiet and untouched, where no immediate danger could reach them.
Ank slowly placed both Maya and the unknown girl on a bed inside a simple house, making sure no one can disturb them, his movements carefully despite the urgency that still lingered in his mind.
He then called Horskey and Earthspider, his voice calm but carrying an authority that needed no explanation, instructing them to watch over both of them until they awakened, because he knew that even in their weakened state, they would not fail him.
And without waiting.
Without resting.
He turned and moved toward returning to the battlefield.
Because there was still something left unfinished.
There was still something waiting for him.
And he would not stop until it was done.
As Ank left, time passed quietly inside the small house, and after some time, Maya slowly opened her eyes, her vision adjusting as she found herself lying inside an unfamiliar place, confusion immediately appearing on her face as she tried to understand where she was and what had happened.
But before she could think further, a vision entered her mind, sent directly by Creation, showing her everything that had happened while she was unconscious, every moment, every struggle, every risk that had been taken to bring her here.
And as she watched.
Her emotions began to change.
Shock.
Guilt.
Pain.
Sadness.
She saw how much Ank had struggled.
How close he had come to death.
How much her grandfather had endured.
And by the time the vision ended, her heart was no longer calm.
It was heavy.
And determined.
She slowly sat up, her expression no longer confused but resolved, because she had already made up her mind, she would go to the battlefield.
She would help Ank, even if he did not need her, even if her strength was nothing compared to his, she could not stay here while he continued to fight alone.
But the moment she tried to leave.
She was stopped.
Earthspider and Horskey moved in front of her, blocking her path silently, their presence firm and unyielding, making it clear that they would not allow her to leave.
"So you do not want me to go?" Maya asked, her voice carrying confusion mixed with frustration, as she looked at them, trying to understand their intent.
They did not respond.
They only stood there.
Watching.
And then their gaze shifted slightly.
Toward something behind her.
Maya followed their line of sight and turned around, her eyes landing on the girl lying unconscious on the bed, the same girl Ank had brought with her.
"So you are protecting her too " Maya said softly, her tone now more thoughtful than before, "did Ank ask you to do this?" she asked again.
Once again.
No answer.
Only silence.
And then, suddenly, a voice echoed in the space.
"You both can go with Maya, and I will protect her."
Creation.
Her voice was calm, yet filled with authority that could not be questioned.
"And Maya," she continued, her tone softening slightly, "I am giving you a small gift."
Before Maya could react.
Power surged through her.
Warm.
Overwhelming.
And controlled.
"Now your powers are equal to High SSS+," Creation said.
"This will help you."
Maya's eyes widened slightly, feeling the difference immediately, the strength flowing through her body far beyond what she had before, and despite the seriousness of the moment, a small blush appeared on her face as she whispered softly, "Thank you.. mother in law."
And without wasting another second.
She left.
Arriving on the battlefield along with Earthspider and Horskey.
But the moment she arrived.
Everything was already over.
Silence had replaced chaos.
And the battlefield stood still.
Her eyes moved quickly, searching for Ank, her heart beating faster with each passing second, until finally she found him.
Unconscious.
Lying on the lap of a girl.
Surrounded by others.
And in that moment.
Something inside her snapped.
Without thinking.
Without hesitation.
She moved forward.
And punched her.
