Closing her eyes, Courtney whispered softly.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Deafening explosions erupted. At the final moment, Courtney pulled her Mega Blaziken back into its Poké Ball. As for whether it could survive, that would depend on its luck.
The next second, the light of the explosion surged out, instantly swallowing Courtney. By relying on the power of their Pokémon, the man with glasses and his team failed to escape the base in time, but no deaths occurred. Only a few trainers were injured.
"Huff... huff... huff..."
Heavy breathing echoed. Fatigue hit him like consecutive waves of a tide, giving Blaise the urge to just fall asleep right there. However, he gritted his teeth and continued to endure. If he fell asleep now, his future life would either be spent in prison or it would be over.
Seizing the opportunity, the Hoenn League members launched another attack on Blaise's Pokémon. Simultaneously, several Psychics acted together, using their psychic powers to attack Blaise himself.
Desperately mobilizing his last remaining strength, a staggering amount of heat surged forth once again, barely managing to block the Psychics' assault. Taking this chance, Blaise's Pokémon retreated, protecting him behind them.
Despite the failed attack, the Psychics were not discouraged. Instead, they waited quietly for the next opportunity. In any case, Blaise was already at the end of his rope. At most, after two more attacks, he would collapse due to the excessive consumption of his special ability.

Not long after Mega Charizard Y defeated its opponent, Moltres, Roaring Moon, and Volcanion also finished their battles. As the steam gradually dissipated, the corpses of the Team Magma members could be seen lying on the ground, surrounded by their Pokémon.
After having Hatterene use Life Dew to restore Charizard and the others, Gu Yuan used Teleport to lead them toward their next target.
"Team Magma's reinforcements have finally arrived. Maxie won't be able to hold back now."
Looking at the intelligence that had just arrived, Drake spoke with a smile.
