Renjiro's [Stats] update took place in a resting room on the second floor of the Hostess of Fertility.
It had to be said, Mama Mia had some serious luck. Even when the upper half of Babel collapsed due to Antares's attack, crashing almost exactly… despite the chaos, nearby buildings remained largely intact. Most towers had toppled, bricks had fallen everywhere, yet this tavern—miraculously—was one of the few that escaped major damage.
Now…
"Alright."
Time was tight, so Renjiro only wanted to confirm that his main body could have at least one [Base Stat] rated 'D' or above—enough to meet the minimum requirement for achieving a Great Quests. Nothing else mattered.
"You've awakened a new [Skill]."
Well, this kind of thing had happened so many times that he was more or less used to it… not really.
Renjiro knew that [Skills], unlike [Magic], weren't limited to three per being in the Lower World. Yet it was still rare for anyone to randomly awaken many skills at once.
From what he knew with his foresight, the adventurer with the most skills was probably Finn from the Loki familia… and yet, that little humanoid hero had only awakened five.
As for himself…
Starry Abyss, Crown of Insight, Blessing of the Welkin Moon, Abyssal Lunar Domain, Immortality…
…and now the sixth [Skill], newly awakened:
Trinity
While using Starfire's Flowing Light magic, the main body can remain in the current plane and temporarily gain the skill Statue of the Seven.
When the main body is present in the world, Traveler Aether can be swapped out and recalled.
If Traveler Aether remains active while the main body is present, control is temporarily delegated to Animus.
Equipping a magical artifact temporarily grants the development ability.
Effect scales with level.
Undoubtedly, with this skill appearing, Renjiro's questions only multiplied.
First, he could confirm that he had set a new record for the number of [Skills] his main body possessed—now six.
And that only counted his main body.
If you also included the Twin Stars and all Archon avatars…
Ugh, never mind. He didn't want to waste words.
In short…
"What the hell is 'Animus'?"
Renjiro twitched at the corner of his mouth.
Right then…
[Animus is "the male image in a woman's mind."]
The normally silent system suddenly jumped in to make its presence known.
Renjiro responded mentally:
"Of course I know. I'm familiar with Jungian psychology. But you also said Animus is the male image in a woman's mind."
He pointed at himself.
"I'm a pure man, a fine gentleman of the Middle Kingdom, got it?"
The system stayed silent for a moment, then finally:
[It's not directly related to you.]
Renjiro instinctively replied:
"Not directly? Then does that mean indirectly… uh~"
He froze.
[Understood.]
Yeah. He understood.
According to the system:
Traveler Lumine's soul is the Anima portion of Renjiro's main body.
When she exists as a real female, the corresponding Animus portion naturally forms.
Luckily, Traveler Aether's Anima is Lumine as well, so it didn't go further—it formed a neat closed loop.
But…
"Isn't this relationship… kinda messy?"
Brother's ideal woman is his sister, and sister's ideal man is her brother.
When the ultimate sister-lover and ultimate brother-lover meet…
Wait, am I (the main body) now a stand-in?
No! It's just the "perfect image of the opposite sex." No reason to take it in a perverted direction.
Think practically.
"Now that I (the main body) can manifest alongside the Twin Stars, my other [Base Stats] besides 'Mana' can also get stronger training opportunities."
It was unavoidable. When Renjiro had leveled from Lv.1 to Lv.2, only Mana had a decent increase.
Dexterity and Agility rose more significantly, likely because his main body had a certain presence—essentially a layer of Traveler Aether battle armor.
So besides Dexterity and Agility, even Strength had a noticeable increase.
Only Endurance…
Renjiro had never once been injured.
Even imagining that mana consumption might burden the body, it couldn't suddenly boost Endurance.
Hence, his five base stats were:
Mana: highest
Dexterity & Agility: moderate
Strength: lower
Endurance: embarrassing
Still, even that "embarrassing" Endurance placed him around mid-to-low compared to adventurers, because he constantly used the system to push beyond his level, never stopping.
His Mana rating of S-999 was aided by Starry Abyss, which constantly restored his magic—even during daytime, at ×2 efficiency.
Seriously, if Riveria or Lefiya had that skill, they'd have gone insane.
No, any mage would dream of this ability.
Now…
"Equipping a magical artifact grants the development ability Magistery temporarily?"
This effect was interesting. In Renjiro's memory, Finn had a similar skill which granted the development ability when equipping a spear.
It was a skill triggered by special conditions.
Renjiro had long wanted Magistery.
It was essentially a ticket to High Mage status—magic circles would appear when casting, enhancing power, effect range, and reducing mental fatigue.
Among common development abilities, it ranked just below Mind Healing, which restored small amounts of mental power when casting magic.
With it, including total Archon usage time, Renjiro's overall strength would skyrocket.
Now, with just the Trinity skill granting Magistery, he felt nothing but joy.
Because it meant…
"My chances of defeating Antares have just increased significantly."
Thus, without a doubt…
"Everything is ready. Let the adventure begin."
