Chapter 155 - KRYPT-Ch.155: Witch's Bloodline

Matthew Atkinson & Natalie Russell

Eighth Layer of the Supernatural Realm

[The OASIS Special Shop has opened.]

[You have a total of 5,745,839,231,834 coins, and 2,872,919,615,917 of those coins are available for spending in the shop.]

[Your eighth-layer overall score is at the SSS level; you are eligible to purchase products at all levels. Products specific to you are organized according to your SSS level.]

These messages appeared on Matthew's panel as they entered the final day of the eighth layer.

Matthew had given Natalie 5 trillion coins from the sales of the winning method for the race.

Therefore, he had approximately 6 trillion coins remaining, leaving his available coins for spending in the shop at just under 3 trillion.

Natalie's situation was almost identical to his.

After the notifications on the panel disappeared, Matthew immediately switched to the newly created tab: OASIS Special Shop.

He could see the products. But the products were grouped into five different sections.

At the top was the section called Unique Merchandise, and below it, the sections ranged from SSS to A level.

Matthew noticed that the lower a section's level, the fewer products there were. And of course, the products were also lower in quality.

It seemed that OASIS rewarded those who achieved high levels in this way.

Those who achieved less than A-level success would apparently not be able to get anything from the Shop except Unique Merchandise.

But in that case, he didn't know what kind of Unique Merchandise the Supernatural Realm would offer them, or if it would offer anything at all.

Matthew was about to examine the products when he heard Natalie call out to him.

"Matthew, I have two Ageless Trait Potions in the SSS section of my Shop. Do you have any?"

Matthew immediately checked his own Shop and found two Ageless Trait Potions in the SSS section.

Upon examining their properties, he realized they were identical to the potion they used.

However, according to the note inside, the name of the person who would use it had to be provided during purchase, and no one else could use it.

Also, the price was 250 billion coins.

"Yes. I have them too, Nat. We'll definitely buy them. But for now, add the things you want to your cart. We'll add or remove things from the cart later depending on our situation," said Matthew.

Then he immediately added the two Ageless Trait Potions to his cart. The total in his cart now stood at 500 billion, and if he hadn't put the method of winning the race up for sale, this expense would have consumed more than half of Matthew's budget.

"I only need one for my dad. Is there anyone you want to use the other for?" Natalie asked.

"I'm thinking of using both of mine for my parents. If you don't have anyone in mind, I can use one of yours for grandpa," Matthew said.

"Sure," Natalie said.

Matthew then started browsing the other products in the SSS section, and another potion caught his attention.

Life Extending Potion: This potion adds 100 years to the lifespan of the person who drinks it and, if they are older than 25, reverts their body to that of a 25-year-old. The person retains this appearance till the last three years of their life.

Matthew quickly checked the quantity and price. A maximum of 100 could be purchased, each costing one billion coins.

Matthew immediately added them all to his cart and called out to Natalie. "Nat, there's a product called 'Life Extending Potion'. You should add all 100 to your cart. It can be used to mask the effects of Ageless Trait Potions or given as a favor to someone if needed."

"Okay. But Matthew, I might need your help with something here," Natalie said.

"What is it?" Matthew asked.

"One of the items in the Unique Merchandise section is called Witch's Bloodline, and apparently, it gives the user the magical powers of a witch from the Harry Potter world," she said.

"What?!!!" Matthew exclaimed, closing his own panel and immediately going to Natalie's side to examine her panel.

The Witch's Bloodline details were displayed in full on her panel.

Matthew quickly reviewed the details.

This product was no different from the Bloodlines people earned in the Holy Land. Moreover, the description stated that it could be used by any ability user, except those who had merged it with a Bloodline Card.

So, as a Devil Fruit User, Natalie could easily use it.

The only downside was that the effect of this Bloodline would only become active a year after they first obtained the ability.

So, Natalie could use this Bloodline after 4 months, but it was still quite a bargain.

And according to the details, a wand would automatically appear in her hand when she wanted to use this power, so Natalie didn't need to worry about that.

"You should take this, Nat. Wizards and witches in the Harry Potter world have very versatile powers. It will come in handy in many situations. Plus, since magical power is tied to Mental Attribute, it won't conflict with the path you're following," Matthew said.

"Yeah. But why is something from the novel you created and wrote being sold here?" Natalie asked.

"Hmm. Two reasons come to my mind. First, this shop might have shaped the Unique Merchandise according to our ideas. Second, the Harry Potter world might actually exist."

"What do you mean by 'might actually exist'?" Natalie asked.

"The dreams that inspire my novels are quite realistic. So, I can't rule out the possibility that they are visions from other worlds. If the theories of parallel universes and multiple worlds are true, then it's quite possible," Matthew said.

"I see... So those worlds in the later layers of the Supernatural Realm could actually exist somewhere else?" Natalie asked.

"I think the Supernatural Realm, instead of sending us to other worlds, is copying some events from those worlds and turning them into a simulation. But the possibility of real worlds existing within the multiverse is high. But I'm not sure we'll find any evidence by thinking about it." Matthew said.

"You're right. By the way, after getting the Witch's Bloodline, it seems I can also get some knowledge and other things related to the Harry Potter world. But some of them look faded," Natalie said.

"Show me," said Matthew. He could see Natalie's panel, but he couldn't operate it.

Natalie quickly added the Witch's Bloodline to her cart. It cost exactly one trillion coins. But Matthew understood why. After all, it granted a new ability.

Then they began examining her Unique Merchandise section together.

Matthew could see many faded items here. He guessed why, but to be sure, he asked Natalie to open the details of one of them.

Natalie clicked Charm Mastery, and, as Matthew suspected, the description said the Hogwarts Educational Knowledge had to be purchased first.

Natalie immediately added Hogwarts Educational Knowledge to her cart, and many of the faded items have now regained their color.

"Which ones do I need to choose?" Natalie asked.

"Charm Mastery, Defense Against Dark Art Mastery, Dueling Mastery, Transfiguration Mastery, Healing Spells, Animagus Transformation, Patronus Charm, Protego Diabolica, Fidelius Charm, Laceration Curse, Gubraithian Fire Charm, Wandless Magic Mastery, Nonverbal Magic Mastery, Occlumency, Legilimency, Fiendfyre Curse, and Unforgivable Curses. I think these are essential ones."

Matthew noticed that while there was knowledge on things like Charm Mastery or Transfiguration Mastery, some special spells like Patronus and Animagus Transformation were sold separately, so he listed everything that caught his attention and that he considered important.

"What about the others?" Natalie asked.

"Fields like Magical History Mastery or Muggle Studies Mastery are useless. Dark Art Mastery involves many taboo practices, such as sacrificial rituals. So, I skipped that. I'm not sure about Potion Mastery and Herbology Mastery, though." Matthew asked.

"Why?" Natalie asked.

"I don't think the materials needed for potion making exist in our world. The same goes for Herbology. Maybe you can find alternative materials, but it will require a lot of time. I don't think you want that," Matthew said.

"You're right. I'm not in a position to dedicate all my time to a new field right now," Natalie said and started adding Matthew's suggestions to her cart.

All of these together cost another 500 billion. Natalie now had a little over 800 billion coins left.

Then, while Natalie started examining other products, Matthew returned to his own panel. This time, he focused on the Unique Merchandise section.

Natalie's unique merchandise was quite useful. Matthew wanted to see what was in his section.

Matthew's Shop's Unique Merchandise section didn't have any new abilities like bloodlines or Devil Fruits, unlike Natalie's.

But what caught Matthew's eye was something even better than the abilities, in his opinion.

Matthew was drawn to a talent. Anthony Edward Stark's technological talent.

Tony Stark was among the most brilliant inventors and engineers in the fantasy universe, and his technological talent was at Matthew's fingertips.
