Matthew Atkinson
Birmingham, United Kingdom
The Region Headquarters of the Royal Guild building was a skyscraper with more than fifty floors.
It looked very impressive. This was Matthew's first time here, but he didn't have time to tour the place right now.
Upon entering the guild building, Grand Magister Russell led him toward the elevator.
"Hello, Grand Magister."
"Good afternoon, Grand Magister."
"Congratulations, Grand Magister.
Along the way, people greeted Grand Magister Russell.
Grand Magister Russell didn't put on any airs and nodded to those people in a friendly manner.
The two then went to the elevator lobby, took the private express elevator, and went straight to the rooftop terrace.
A small transport plane was parked on the rooftop of the building.
"Uncle Russell, where is the pilot?"
"The pilot is right in front of you."
Matthew was stunned for a moment, then asked in surprise, "Uncle Russell, you can fly this thing?"
"What? Surprised?" Grand Magister Russell laughed. "This is an essential skill for the association's core members. Moreover, this is a small transport plane with intelligent flight assistance, so it's very easy for one person to operate. If it were a large transport plane, it would take at least three people to fly it."
The two boarded the transport plane while talking.
Matthew sat next to him, while Grand Magister Russell was in the main pilot's seat.
Then, Grand Magister Russell started the transport plane, and his operation seemed very skilled.
Soon, the transport plane's engines began spewing intense blue flames, lifting it into the sky.
While Grand Magister Russell was focused on controlling the plane, Matthew opened his attribute panel.
.........

Agility: 3140 (↑140)

Skills: [Fist/Galaxy Impact], [Haki (Supreme)], [Demon God's Descent], [Inventory], [Danger Sense]
Attribute Points: 800 (↑800)
.........
After adding all his accumulated expendable attribute points to his mental attribute, it was now his strongest attribute.
However, while his mental attribute only gained 3 attribute points daily with sunbathing equipment, his other attributes gained 10 points.
This meant that his other attributes would eventually surpass his Mental Attribute again.
Therefore, Matthew planned to use his expendable attribute points on his mental attribute from now on to keep his attributes balanced.
An attribute that lagged behind his other attributes was essentially a supernatural's weakness.
Matthew understood this very well thanks to Shanks. If his mental attribute wasn't at a sufficient level, he would have been eliminated in the final round like Ma Dongwu and Arno, and wouldn't have won the championship.
Matthew had no intention of putting himself in such a weak position again.
He currently had 800 expendable attribute points from his Global Layer championship win, but Matthew chose not to use them immediately.
He was currently on an operation in a foreign country, where many things were uncertain. If he got into trouble, he could use these 800 points on a different attribute depending on the situation.
Of course, it would be better if everything went smoothly, but it was better to be cautious.
Grand Magister Russell, seeing Matthew's pensive expression, thought he was worried and said, "Matthew, there's no need to worry. Right now, there's no one stronger than you in South Korea. And you can fly. In the worst-case scenario, you can quickly retreat."
Matthew was initially surprised by Grand Magister Russell's words, but then smiled and said, "There's no need to worry, Uncle Russell. I'm not nervous. I was just thinking about some things."
Grand Magister Russell didn't seem entirely convinced, but he didn't press the matter and asked to change the subject, "By the way, where are your glasses?"
"It's here."
With a thought, Matthew summoned the pair of Reporter's Glasses in his hand from his inventory.
Grand Magister Russell was taken aback. He knew Matthew and Natalie's inventory skills, but he still hadn't gotten used to witnessing them.
"Get ready, we're about to reach supersonic speeds and accelerate until we reach the thermosphere. Then we will move at maximum speed there." Grand Magister Russell said.
"What's the maximum speed of this plane, Uncle Russell? I believe the flight from London to Seoul takes more than half a day on normal airlines."
"This plane is designed to transport Sevent-rank and above supernatural experts in emergencies quickly. It can reach Mach 5 at maximum speed. At this speed, we'll reach the East China Sea in about an hour and a half."
"Huh? That fast?" Matthew said in astonishment.
Although his current flight speed was around Mach 16, he was surprised that the vehicle they were in could move so fast.
Some of the technologies in this world were truly quite advanced compared to the parallel world they came from.
"Yeah, that fast. Matthew, you can rest for a while."
"Okay, Uncle Russell."
...
An hour and a half later, the transport plane descended again, and its speed decreased. They were now out at sea somewhere between South Korea and China, in the East China Sea.
Grand Magister Russell cautioned, "I can only take you this far. Flying any further will put us on the Koreans' radar and cause unnecessary trouble. Your flying ability should be sufficient to get you across from here, right?"
"Of course," Matthew said with a smile.
With his current flying ability, he could easily fly around the entire planet Earth.
Seeing Matthew's confidence, Grand Magister Russell nodded and said, "Alright, I'll wait for you here."
"Good."
Then Grand Magister Russell opened the cabin door.
Instantly, a large amount of airflow rushed into the transport aircraft.
"That's right." Grand Magister Russell suddenly reminded loudly, "Try to fly at low altitudes. This makes it harder for radars to detect you."
Matthew gave an OK sign, then jumped out of the plane and fell freely toward the sea below.
Five meters before hitting the sea, Matthew activated his flight, suddenly stopped and hovered, then maintained his altitude and began flying towards South Korea.
But he controlled its speed and kept it below the speed of sound. If he were to fly at full speed, the resulting sonic boom would definitely alert the entire South Korean air force.
Watching Matthew fly away, Grand Magister Russell smiled, closed the cabin door, and then activated the aircraft's camouflage mode. The next moment, the plane suddenly disappeared.
...
Ten minutes later, Matthew had already appeared in South Korea.
At this moment, he was wearing Reporter's Glasses that could change his appearance and conceal his aura, making him look like an ordinary tourist.
He hailed a taxi on the street and handed the driver the note he had prepared beforehand.
Although South Korea had advanced smart-driving technology, taxis there were still being driven manually. Matthew had no idea why.
As for the note, it had the address Matthew was supposed to go to.
The driver knew Matthew wasn't a local as soon as he saw the note. With a smile on his face, he started the car and drove Matthew to their destination.
He loved tourists. After all, most of them paid in cash with a good tip.
A moment later. They arrived at the destination without incident.
Matthew paid the fare, including a generous tip, and got out of the car, his gaze drifting towards the hospital building.
This hospital had a great location, not far from the sea and surrounded by mountains. In particular, the inpatient building has floors with sea views.
Hospitals like this were naturally high-end private hospitals in every country, serving only the wealthy and powerful. People without sufficient resources couldn't enter here.
Matthew's destination was the inpatient building.
But the inpatient building was heavily guarded, with numerous security personnel preventing unauthorized entry.
Of course, this was no challenge for Matthew.
He went to the back of the inpatient building, found a secluded spot, leaped up, and quickly flew to a room on the 11th floor with an open window.
There was an impatient person in the room. An elderly man lay motionless on his hospital bed, looking much like a person in a vegetative state.
However, this old man was not the target Matthew was looking for.
He didn't linger; he opened the door and went out.
In the corridor, many nurses were busy. Matthew's appearance drew the attention of several nurses, but no one approached him.
In the subconscious minds of these nurses, only important figures whose identities had been verified could get past the security guards on the first floor.
Following the info he had, Matthew quickly located the ward where his target was: room 1119.
However, he realized that things were a bit more complicated than he thought.
Outside ward 1119, two burly men were guarding the room. Judging by their demeanor, they seemed supernatural individuals.
There was movement inside the room, so there must be quite a few people there.
Matthew immediately slowed his pace, his brows furrowing slightly.
According to Grand Magister Russell's information, although the old man was a member of a wealthy family, he had been abandoned and discarded.
The family no longer valued him. The reason they were still willing to spend money on his treatment was entirely for the sake of the family's reputation.
And the old man's children rarely came to visit.
Under these circumstances, it was unlikely that they would send supernatural individuals to protect the old man.
Then where did those superhumans at the door come from?
Matthew quickly realized that the trouble that Grand Magister Russell had been worried about had really happened.
It seemed someone paid special attention to him, a Kryptonian Bloodline user, and planned to use this still-alive old man to explore the secrets of the Kryptonian Bloodline ability.
Thinking about this, Matthew quickly made up his mind. Given this situation, he no longer has time to act secretly.
So, he strode forward toward the ward. He was going to force his way and kill the old man quickly.
This was also necessary to prevent other unexpected situations from arising.
What if they decided to transfer the old man elsewhere while he withdrew and waited for another opportunity to arise?
That would inevitably become a huge problem.
Therefore, swift and decisive action was the best strategy at the moment. Otherwise, with every minute he waited, other unexpected situations could arise, making the situation even more complicated.
Anyway, Grand Magister Russell told Matthew that the King-rank expert of South Korea was not currently in the country.
With Matthew's strength, he could do whatever he wanted in South Korea. What was there to be afraid of?
...
Just as Matthew was walking towards ward 1119, at that moment, an elevator door opened in the lobby on the 11th floor.
Then, Ma Dongwu stepped out of the elevator amidst the cheers of the crowd.
Beside Ma Dongwu stood an arrogant-looking supernatural. This man was Ma Dongwu's "helper," possessing powerful healing abilities and known as the "nemesis of terminal illnesses".
Of course, it was very expensive to hire him, and no one could reach him without connections.
Ma Dongwu had managed to bring him here because of his great influence.
As he stepped out of the elevator and into the corridor, Ma Dongwu looked ahead and saw someone approaching the door of room 1119.
