Chapter 201 - KRYPT-Ch.201: R.O.B.I.N.

Matthew Atkinson

Oxford, United Kingdom

Today was March 3rd. After his morning classes, Matthew had retreated to his dormitory and was working on his novels on his computer.

After making plans with Natalie for the tenth layer yesterday, Matthew didn't have much left to do.

Now, all he could do was attend classes, learn as much as he could about the tenth layer, and wait for Grand Magister Russell to get back to him about his problem with the Super Announcement.

As for training...

Matthew suddenly turned his head and, looking as if he were staring at something no one else could see, said, "Come on, folks. I explained quite a bit in the last chapters why I don't train. And despite all these logical excuses I've made, you need to understand by now that I'm a lazy person who doesn't like to train. Please, let's not talk about this again."

After finishing his sentence, Matthew suddenly recoiled in surprise.

"Did I just break the fourth wall?" he muttered to himself.

Then he quickly opened the attributes panel.

......

Race: Human

Trait: Ageless

Constitution: 3170 (↑15)

Mental: 3306 (↑5)

Strength: 3170 (↑15)

Agility: 3170 (↑15)

Ability: Tremor-Tremor Fruit, Kryptonian Bloodline [Steel Body (5), Super Strength (5), Super Speed (5), Super Mind (5), Super Flight (5), Super Sense, Heat Rays]

Skills: [Fist/Galaxy Impact], [Haki (Supreme)], [Demon God's Descent], [Inventory], [Danger Sense]

Attribute Points: 800

......

Matthew quickly scanned the panel but found nothing related to the fourth wall or Deadpool Bloodline ability.

The panel was the same as when he checked it this morning, the only change from yesterday being the daily increase in attributes.

And today, three attributes have increased by 15 points, while the mental attribute has increased by 5 points. This indicated that the change from yesterday was permanent and fixed.

But it offered no explanation for what had just happened.

After thinking for a while, Matthew shrugged and turned back to his laptop to focus on his work. He would think about it if something like this happened again.

Just as Matthew was about to refocus on his work, a voice from his laptop stopped him.

[Responsive Omni-purpose Behavioral Intelligence Network now active.]

"Huh? Finally completed?" Matthew said, surprised. "R.O.B.I.N., are you there? Can you hear me?"

[I can hear you very clearly, Master Matthew. Do you have any orders?]

"Finally!" Matthew exclaimed, raising his fists in the air.

After obtaining Tony Stark's talent and knowledge about technologies from many different worlds on the eighth layer, Matthew had been working on his own AI assistant for some time.

Initially, he thought completing this AI wouldn't take long and that he could finish it in a month, but even after two months, Matthew's AI system was only now becoming active.

The main reason for this was that Matthew encountered an obstacle after completing the AI. For the AI to gain assistant capabilities and communicate comfortably with him, it needed to absorb and analyze a large amount of data.

This also applied to the AI's comparison and analysis capabilities. Without data, an AI couldn't be an AI.

Therefore, after Matthew completed the main program and uploaded it to the private server he built somewhere on the campus, he left it to ROBIN to collect and analyze the data from the internet.

Even though ROBIN was a new AI, it included the fundamental security and protocol features of Tony Stark's masterpieces, such as JARVIS, FRIDAY, KAREN, and EDITH.

Therefore, Matthew felt at ease. If he had built an AI from scratch, Matthew certainly wouldn't have connected it to the internet and allowed it to collect data like that. He was trying to create an AI assistant to help himself, not Skynet.

But during this time, Matthew was not without benefiting from ROBIN's abilities.

"ROBIN. Does the fact that you're active now mean all the tasks I assigned you are finished?"

[Yes, Master Matthew. All the tasks you gave me have been completed.]

"Excellent. I'm going to the factory now. Let's continue talking when I get there," said Matthew.

[As you wish, Master Matthew.]

Then Matthew closed his laptop, sent it to his inventory, and left his dormitory, walking towards his factory.

But the direction he was walking wasn't towards the university campus gate, but rather deep into the campus grounds.

Over the past month, ROBIN may have been collecting data to develop his own communication and character interface, but that didn't mean Matthew couldn't use ROBIN's super skills.

So, over the past month, he founded Otherworldly Labs Holdings PLC, OWL Holdings, a parent company he'd been planning for some time.

This company would be Matthew's R&D and innovation-focused parent, owning all his patents and holding all his other technology-focused companies under its umbrella.

Although Matthew had established his company as a PLC (Public Limited Company), he had no intention of going public or listing it for the time being. Perhaps he might sell off 5% or 10% of the shares later, but he definitely planned to retain more than 90%.

While he wasn't particularly bothered by others getting a taste of the pie, he wasn't about to entrust his golden goose to anyone.

And then, he founded his first subsidiary, OmniCore Technologies PLC. This company would be responsible for manufacturing technological devices and producing their software.

And of course, to manufacture devices, the company needed a factory.

So, founding his companies wasn't the only thing he did over the past month. Matthew was also working on building his first factory and preparing his first product for sale.

And ROBIN's work revolved around this.

Factory setup, preparing the machinery and production line, producing and testing the prototype of the first product, and getting it ready for sale were ROBIN's primary tasks.

Only after completing these tasks could ROBIN transfer his workload to the communication interface.

And now, ROBIN activating the assistant communication interface meant he had finished these tasks.

This meant Matthew now had a factory ready to use and a product ready for sale.

Under normal circumstances, building a factory, especially one of the size and specifications of Matthew's, and producing a ready-to-sell technological product wouldn't be possible in a month.

But Matthew could no longer be categorized as ordinary when it came to technology. He possessed Tony Stark's talent.

And Tony Stark possessed the technology to create a super-armor in his mansion's lab.

Furthermore, Matthew possessed not only Tony's technologies but also technologies from other worlds. Therefore, the factory system he established was completely different from classic and conventional methods.

First, Matthew spoke with the principal to try to secure a location on campus for his factory.

At first, the principal said the university wasn't a suitable location for a factory, but after Matthew explained his needs, and with Natalie's help, he was granted what he requested.

What Matthew needed wasn't land to build a factory on or a power grid for his factory.

What he needed was a large hangar to house his factory. And the more secure, the better.

Because Matthew didn't want a fixed factory, but a modular one that he could move when needed. And as for the energy source... Please. Matthew was an expert in Arc Reactor technology. Energy wasn't a problem for him.

The location the principal had arranged for him was an unused underground storage facility. This facility contained two large hangars.

According to the principal, the hangars were designed for storing large-scale machinery and vehicles when needed, but they were currently unused.

Each of these hangars was 250 meters wide, 300 meters long, and 35 meters high. This meant Matthew had the equivalent of two football stadiums' worth of space.

And that was perfectly adequate for Matthew.

Matthew was quite serious when he talked about a modular and portable factory, and he wasn't referring to moving the factory with vehicles and machinery.

Matthew planned to move his factory by putting it into his inventory when needed.

But for this, his factory had to meet certain requirements.

First, through his experiments, Matthew realized that although his inventory seemed to have unlimited space, he couldn't store objects exceeding a certain size.

This size limit was 1000 cubic meters. This meant that if Matthew wanted to store a cube-shaped object, the cube's sides could be no more than 10 meters.

Therefore, Matthew conceived of building a modular factory that could be assembled like Lego blocks. This way, he could disassemble his factory into modular parts and store them in his inventory whenever he wanted.

Matthew designed these parts as a cube with sides of 9.90 meters. He had left a 10-centimeter margin of error just in case. It would be really frustrating to be unable to add these modular parts to his inventory due to a small mistake.

But the most important point was that these modular parts were manufactured from nanotechnology metal.

Therefore, all Matthew had to do was produce the nanotechnology metal and make it spontaneously take on modular parts.

And when the parts came into contact, they fused perfectly, and the walls and ceilings could be rearranged as desired.

And artificial intelligence continuously monitored the factory's structure. Depending on its changing structure, it redistributed the nanotechnology metal to support the factory.

Matthew had currently produced 400 of these modular parts. And when all were put together, they formed a structure 99 meters wide, 198 meters long, and 19.8 meters high.

In its unadjusted state, this structure consisted of 6 floors, each measuring 19,602 square meters and 3.3 meters high. This gave Matthew a factory with 177,612 square meters of usable space.

But Matthew couldn't use a 3.3-meter height limit throughout the entire factory.

Some sections of the production areas needed to be higher due to reasons such as machine size, ventilation, and gas density.

Therefore, in some sections, the ceiling between two floors was rearranged to create areas with a height of 6.6 meters, and in some places, areas with a height of 9.9 meters, three floors high.

And if the artificial intelligence deemed it necessary, these heights could be increased even further.

Frankly, this factory could be called the perfect factory that many companies dream of.

After walking for a while, Matthew arrived at what looked like a warehouse.

This was indeed a warehouse, but it also housed the entrance to the underground facility.

Matthew immediately approached the warehouse door and, after passing the password, biometric, and voice-activated codes, entered the warehouse.

Although this warehouse wasn't as large as the underground hangars, it was quite useful for Matthew because it was where he received the raw materials he ordered from outside.

After all, no matter how technologically knowledgeable Matthew was, he couldn't produce anything without raw materials. But luckily, thanks to his technology, all he needed were basic raw materials.

And obtaining these in bulk with Natalie's help and the university's wasn't difficult.

As for money, Matthew had no financial problems. He had become a wealthy man solely thanks to the Harry Potter series and its merchandise.

And thanks to this, he was able to cover all these expenses from his own pocket. And he was sure that when his first product came to market, he would earn much more than he had already invested.

After entering the warehouse, Matthew quickly proceeded to the elevator door at the back. After re-verifying security, the elevator door opened, and Matthew stepped inside.

The elevator was quite spacious and designed to carry many people and materials.

Matthew pressed the bottommost button, marked "B," among the floor buttons.

There were only two buttons for different floors in the elevator. This facility had no floors other than the Ground Floor and Basement Floor.

When Matthew reached the basement, the elevator door opened, and he stepped out.

The area he entered was a large hall with two doors on either side. Besides the doors made for people's use, there were also large doors for materials, but Matthew didn't use them.

The door on the right led to the hangar where Matthew's factory was located.

The hangar behind the door on the left was where Matthew built the modular structures and machinery for his factory.

Construction was still ongoing there as Matthew wanted to double the size of his factory, but he had now left this task to his robot assistants.

Matthew turned towards the door on the right, entered the hangar grounds, and was confronted by a structure made entirely of black metal.

A massive structure made entirely of black metal, without doors or windows.

This was one of the downsides of using nanotechnology in metal. The resulting modular structures formed a large metal structure, and their combination created a gigantic metal building.

If Matthew had added doors and windows to this design, he wouldn't have been able to ensure the complete fusion of these modular structures or rearrange the metals as he wished.

But this situation wasn't a problem for Matthew.

This factory operated entirely on the dark factory model, Industry 4.0. Considering its production capabilities, Matthew could even call it Industry 5.0.

In short, only robots would work in this factory, and overall management would be done and controlled by AI.

The only person here would most likely be Matthew, so doors or windows were irrelevant.

Matthew walked towards the factory, and as he approached, the metal wall in front of him parted, creating an opening for him to enter.

And as Matthew stepped inside, he heard ROBIN's voice again, this time speaking through the factory's sound system.

[Welcome to the Forge, Master Matthew.]
