Peter stood at the command console, calm but unyielding. His fingers danced across the interface, redirecting energy nodes, calculating phase trajectories.
"Remember," He said, voice carrying over the channel. "Jessica's a Spider. Predict, don't react. Neutralize, don't annihilate. I want her captured intact. No casualties, no surprises and be careful. She's pregnant."
Frank nodded, sending a squad around the perimeter. The walls themselves hummed as energy dampeners aligned to block Jessica's dimensional travel watch. It could have been a trap but Peter's modifications prevented it from spying or collapsing dimensional fields.
Jessica Drew POV:
I crouched in the shadow of a hydroponic array, eyes darting across the shimmering grids of green, this place would have been beautiful if I wasn't being hunted by a bunch of Captain America upgrades. I could hear the faint hiss of armour servos, the soft click of drones deploying. They were actively trying to bait me.
"Damn it!" I muttered. My stealth cloaking flickered as quantum scanners pinged. I tried to find an escape, weaving between laser grids and particle conduits. But the systems had anticipated my every step. Nothing moved without a countermeasure waiting.
A drone skittered past, scanned my heat signature. I ducked only to accidentally collide with the reinforced floor.
From the command center, Peter observed silently, hands still on the interface. "Don't overextend. They'll contain you without incident. Also no point in trying to fight physics itself." He declared over the intercom.
I froze. Physics itself. I never met a mind like this.
Observation Deck — Gwen(Earth-65-B) POV
I leaned against the railing, holo-screens reflecting in my eyes. Beside me, Gwendolyn, Peter's wedded Gwen, watched the operation unfold.
"You're calm." I said. "I'd be panicking if I were in your shoes."
Gwendolyn shook her head, voice low but steady. "This isn't the first time someone broke in and this isn't the first cat and mouse game Peter's playing."
My gaze softened. "It's just… back on Earth-1610, when my Peter came back… I realized even broken timelines can heal. Maybe he's proof of that... that someone can fix chaos without destroying order."
Gwendolyn smiled faintly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Peter doesn't fix it for glory. He fixes it because he can. That's why he's still standing while the rest of us scramble."
I exhaled. "I hope I can learn that one day."
"Stick close." Gwendolyn replied. "You're not alone here. And neither is he."

Frank's team cornered Jessica near the quantum array. Spartan IVs deployed phase lockers, their restraints emitting a soft hum as they calibrated to Jessica's unique bio-quantum-signature to keep her stable.
Jessica tried to dart past but Peter and Clanker predicted her trajectory. A containment net snapped into place, fully encasing her.
Peter's voice echoed through the lab speakers. "Enough. Stand down."
Jessica froze, seeing the calm fury in his eyes. "Why… why are you..."
Gwendolyn stepped forward, hand resting lightly on Peter's arm. "He's protecting what it means to be a Spider person while not even being a Spider-Man, Jessica and you were a threat."
Jessica's gaze flicked to the confiscated watch, now inert. "I… I was only spying. I wasn't going to..."
"You and that moron O'Hara could have destabilized everything." Peter interrupted, voice steady but edged. "Not because you're reckless but because you've never worked with the full picture. None of you have."
Jessica's defiance faltered as she met his holographic eyes and for the first time, she understood: this Peter wasn't a reckless vigilante. He was a sentinel, calculating, precise, unforgiving where necessary.
Aftermath
Gwendolyn's hand remained on Peter's arm, her presence a steady anchor. "Breathe." She whispered. "You did what you had to do."
Peter exhaled, allowing tension to leave his shoulders. "I know. But the next wave… it's coming. I need everyone aligned. Spartan IVs, tech, containment. Everyone."
Gwendolyn nodded. "And we'll face it together. Always."
Gwen (Earth-65) stepped forward, a quiet smile on her face. "I get it now. A universe doesn't die when you break canon. But it collapses if someone pushes too far… or if dimensional energy is mismanaged. You've been keeping the balance all along."
Peter gave a rare, wry smile. "Since the incident. That's how I prevent displacement of people or objects."
Jessica, subdued but still defiant, met Gwen's gaze. "I… see that now. He's… different."
"Yes." Gwen agreed. "And we have to respect that and the fact that he understands more about the multiverse than any of us."
The Spider-Gang exchanged glances. Their banter simmered with curiosity and awe, but for now, the lesson was clear: this Peter Parker was not a man to underestimate.
