Chapter 620 - Purification

The field remained silent for a few moments after the light disappeared.

That weight in the air was no longer there. The difference was subtle, but noticeable. It wasn't something you could see with your eyes… it was something you could feel.

The villagers looked around, still without moving.

As if they were waiting for some reaction from the land.

Lyannis crossed her arms. "It feels… different."

Rai'kanna nodded. "Yeah."

Scarlett kept her eyes fixed on the soil. "Lighter."

Elara analyzed attentively. "The interference was removed."

Vespera added, "Environment stabilized."

Liriel took a deep breath. "Now it depends on the land."

I looked around.

Nothing had changed visually.

But everything had changed at its foundation.

"Begin," I said.

Harren reacted first.

"Yes!"

His voice came out firmer than before.

He quickly turned to the others.

"Come on! Prepare everything!"

And this time…

They didn't hesitate.

The movement began.

Tools being used.

Soil being turned.

Rows being organized.

It wasn't perfect.

But it was real work.

Lyannis smiled faintly. "Now that's more like it."

Rai'kanna crossed her arms. "They needed this."

Scarlett nodded. "Direction."

Elara added, "And action."

Vespera said, "Practical execution."

Liriel observed in silence.

I stayed there, watching.

Without interfering.

Just observing.

It was important.

Because this wasn't about doing it for them.

It was about allowing them to do it again.

Time passed.

The work continued.

And little by little…

Their posture changed.

Movements firmer.

Less hesitation.

More focus.

Lyannis commented, "They were stagnant for too long."

Rai'kanna nodded. "Now they're moving again."

Scarlett said, "That already changes a lot."

Elara added, "Mindset."

Vespera agreed. "Productivity."

Liriel spoke quietly, "Life."

After some time, Harren returned.

Sweating.

But with a different look in his eyes.

"We're planting."

I nodded.

"Continue."

He hesitated for a moment.

And then asked.

"Will it… work?"

Silence.

I looked at the field.

Then at him.

"It will."

Simple.

Without exaggerated promises.

Without impossible guarantees.

But firm.

He nodded.

And went back.

Lyannis tilted her head. "You didn't even hesitate."

"There was no need."

Rai'kanna let out a soft laugh. "Complete confidence."

Scarlett commented, "You know what was done."

Elara nodded. "Solid foundation."

Vespera added, "Correct process."

Liriel simply said, "Yes."

The sun slowly began to set.

The light changed.

But the work didn't stop.

Some villagers began taking turns.

Others kept going.

No one wanted to stop completely.

And that said a lot.

Lyannis sat on a rock. "They're not stopping anytime soon."

Rai'kanna agreed. "They're making up for lost time."

Scarlett kept an attentive gaze.

Elara observed every detail.

Vespera analyzed the pace.

Liriel remained calm.

"That's enough for today," I said.

Lyannis looked at me. "You're making them stop?"

"Yes."

Rai'kanna crossed her arms. "Makes sense."

Scarlett nodded. "Avoid exhaustion."

Elara added, "Long-term efficiency."

Vespera said, "Sustainability."

Liriel confirmed, "Balance."

I called Harren again.

He came quickly.

"Yes?"

"Stop the work for today."

He hesitated.

"But…"

"You need rest."

Silence.

"If you continue like this… tomorrow won't be productive."

He thought for a moment.

Then nodded.

"I understand."

He turned around.

And began organizing the stop.

This time…

Without resistance.

The villagers began putting away the tools.

More slowly.

But without discouragement.

The difference was clear.

They weren't stopping because of a lack of results.

They were stopping with something already begun.

Lyannis stood up. "Good decision."

Rai'kanna nodded. "Avoids a basic mistake."

Scarlett commented, "Control."

Elara added, "Planning."

Vespera said, "Continuity."

Liriel simply smiled faintly.

The field gradually became empty again.

But different from before.

Now…

There were marks.

Made rows.

Prepared soil.

Seeds planted.

I looked around once more.

And understood.

That was no longer a stagnant place.

It was a place in motion.

"Let's go," I said.

Lyannis looked at me. "To the mansion?"

"Yes."

Rai'kanna crossed her arms. "I want to see what it's like."

Scarlett nodded. "Me too."

Elara said, "Important to know the base."

Vespera added, "Central structure."

Liriel confirmed, "Yes."

We followed the path leading up the hill.

The mansion could be seen from a distance.

Larger than the rest of the village.

Better maintained.

But still…

Disconnected.

Lyannis commented, "It feels out of place."

Rai'kanna replied, "Because it is."

Scarlett observed, "But it can work."

Elara analyzed, "Adequate structure."

Vespera nodded. "Good base."

Liriel said, "Yes."

We climbed.

Step by step.

Until we reached the top.

We stopped in front of the entrance.

The door was closed.

But not abandoned.

I took a deep breath.

And then opened it.

The interior was clean.

Organized.

Prepared.

Someone had taken care of it.

Cedric.

Of course.

Lyannis entered first. "Okay… this is better than I expected."

Rai'kanna followed right behind her. "Much better."

Scarlett analyzed the environment. "Functional."

Elara observed the details. "Solid structure."

Vespera nodded. "Good organization."

Liriel walked slowly. "Peaceful."

I remained at the entrance for a moment.

Looking inside.

And then…

Outside.

The village below.

The field.

The beginning.

And I understood.

This…

Was only the beginning.

But it was already progress.

I entered.

And closed the door.

Because now…

This place was also part of the path.
